It's amazing to see turtles on that tiny island. I wonder if they're survivors of the pirate and import ships from hundreds of years ago. Cooks on those ships gathered and stored them on board to feed their crew during long voyages. The Galapagos island has many huge ancient turtles also.I found this to be a most interesting video.

What a brilliant vid William brought back so many memories of our 2012 trip thank you so much. I hope your going to swim with the turtles when you go up north in the little cove where they are looking after injured turtles. Its not to be missed. Bets piece of advice go at high tide for best experience.

@@williamtaudien just depends on where at that’s more a good question for my wife 😂 she’s Swiss I’m American I’m not sure if you remember me from our pass conversations back a year or so ago when I talked about Mexico and when I got married there. But I have a been to many of the locations like Santis and Grindelwald. But I definitely could help you out if you make it this way. I’d say the Italian part is my favorite of Switzerland 🤙

Cool video! I used to breed turtles and tortoises from all over the world when I was in my teens and early 20's as a hobby. The Aldabra Giant Tortoise (Geochelone gigantea), from the islands of the Aldabra Atoll in the Seychelles, is one of the largest tortoises in the world. But possibly not as big as the tortoises from the Galapagos islands. I'd like to see you travel to the Galapagos in the future, that would be cool 😎👌 Uugggh! Ooohhh Errrrrh! 🐢🐢 💕

Wow,the drone shots! That bright turquoise water! The tortoises! I read the oldest tortoise there is almost 200 years old.So ancient looking.They created sanctuary as people were poaching them and killing them for meat in the wild.

William, your turtles were actually tortoises. Tortoises have thicker, domed shells with elephantine hind legs. They are more designed for land rather than for the sea. Thank you for the tour.
