Hi guys. It's always great to see new people discover this amazing place. I've done a total of 8 weeks there as a volunteer and am going back next year. The tranquility of the sanctuary never gets old for me. I can completely understand your frustration about the other tourists. As a volunteer I have had the opportunity to help the tour guides (all are volunteers also) and have had to control guests who don't respect the rules. I just wish more people would realise what a privilege it is to be able to visit the bears whilst respecting their personal space. If you ever return to Romania, I would recommend volunteering through Oyster Worldwide.

Wow, it's great to hear from someone who is closely connected with Libearty Bear Sanctuary! Thank you for all the work you've done (and will continue to do) to provide these bears with the best life possible. The volunteers there were incredible. The passion our tour guide had for protecting these bears was palpable. We just wish some of the tourists in our group had had more respect. Just looked up Oyster Worldwide - we'll keep it in mind! Looks like there are tons of opportunities for volunteer work across the globe.
