There are modified Honda’s and there are cars at the level of Andy’s Honda Civic EK9 Type R. This build has had no expense spared on any area. From the Bride glitter back seats with Takata harnesses to the Rays CE28 wheels. This car has all the parts that Honda fans dream about. Everything on the car has been chosen for a purpose though. The Spoon Sports brakes for their flexibility with brake pad options to the J’s Racing front wings to accommodate the Toyo Proxes R888R tires. All of this to support what is now in the engine bay, A JDM K20a engine from an Integra DC5. Bolted directly to that is a set of AT Power Independent Throttle Bodies which give the VTEC cross over and unbelievable tone. The engine set up is paired perfectly with the fully smoothed and wire tucked engine bay by Honda specialists HondR. The exterior of the car is treated to a whole host of JDM goodies. A genuine Mugen front lip starts things off with a Shift Sports bonnet rounds out the front end. Moving around the back you see the Seeker carbon fibre spoiler and fully functional rear diffuser by Sargeant. This is mounted around the custom 3 inch exhaust system that is modelled off the Fujitsubo RM-01A exhaust. As you can see, this is a true one of a kind build that incorporates a mix of JDM parts and custom fabrication. A car and build worthy of all the awards it wins.

I agree! My brother swapped a B16 into his base model 2000 Civic coupe. I drove it and WOW!!! What a rush! I was shifting around 4500-5000ish. He said to let it rip up to 8000 at every gear. The engine went through each gear effortlessly. I wouldn’t feel confident doing that to it’s competitors, if any, at that time.
Absolutely stunning! Don’t think there’s enough credit on here to the owner. Incredible attention to detail, nice to see the some passion for old Hondas 👌🏽

As a 44 year old, I can't tell you how badly I miss my EK...... I had it way back in college and couldn't wait to "upgrade" and now I know so much better. /sigh

Im with you. I'm 40. I miss my white 93 prelude. I missed it so much I went out and bought a 2024 Type R..... Does a pretty good job of scratching that itch and it can do family duties. Wife still isn't happy about it though

Agreed. What a beauty, and the owner really seems to love it. While I love the K series as an engine, for me it's like seeing an LS V8 under the hood of an American muscle car. It's "technically" a better engine, but it just doesn't look right IMO, but race car stuff, yeah it works.

The EK is one of if not THE best body style Honda ever made. ❤
I love the build, everything fits so well together Only thing I would cange is the rear bumper but that's only personal preference and I have to admit that I still love it

Damn, I love ITB setups. The sound is so engaging. It really does compliment and have that B series pure roar. Which is why I always hated when people would destroy a B series setup with a loud and raspy cat back exhaust system.

Na B series does drive better with a good exhaust. They need to breath but has to he a good exhaust with a good muffler.

still have my 94 Integra GSR with the stock dual-runner IM and stock exhaust. Even with that, the sound at the top of 2nd and 3rd gear VTEC with short runners open, sounds badass.

My dream car. Short story, I wanted an EK9 when I was on my early teens but obviously they were not legal in the states back then. I waited a few years and contacted some importers and landed on a place in Florida. While not technically legal the way he was supposed to bring it in was. Got a loan for $15k and wired him the full amount. Months go by, little communication, some pictures were sent etc. Was told a 8 months in that it was destroyed in a hurricane that hit Florida. Was able to recoup $10k of it but ended up not seeing the other $5k. Now I'm an old man with a good paying job and can't afford to import one or buy new because of how expensive they are now. Sad

Overall beautiful car!! But I’m just wondering if that’s a real Magen lip? Cause I owned a Mugen lip on my hatch and the vent holes were not cut out, and I noticed this one had its vents cut out.

You are correct, they come from Mugen as filled. You can then cut them out if you choose. It’s definitely genuine comparing it side by side to a rep

There is a foam filter that has a quick release. It was taken off for the video but was put back on when we went for a drive

I shot this on a Panasonic GH5 with a Canon 17-40mm lens. The rolling shots where using that camera with a DJI Ronin S gimbal and the audio is recorded using the DJI mics

Mugens own catalog image of the lip has the holes cut out and the OE lip has two screw fittings per side

Love the car but those body gaps are distracting
The worlds best varies my the use. An over powerful car is not useful for daily use on the current road situation! I en. 1997 Honda Del Sol Si. I am the original owner with 221,000 miles. It is a five speed manual To me car handling trumps speed for daily use. My car has double wishbone Suspension and front and rear sway bars! The transmission is smooth! Straight power with out handling is worthless! I am very satisfied with my Del Sol. It is my only car!
