FR, those were so dam cool, I still have Optimus and Bumblebee. I also liked the Bayformers figures they did except the fact that every time I got it I kept getting Grindor over the ones I wanted like Optimus

Back when happy meal toys weren’t 100% of the time cheap activity books or puzzles or “collectible “ figures weee the only thing it dose is have you push a button for a cheep gimmick.

I feel really nostalgic for almost everyone of these, but the SpongeBob ones will always hold a special place in my heart, because my Grandma was a huge fan of the original SpongeBob back then and she had a couple of these on her window and she’d let me play with them whenever I was with her

I remember getting the Mario kart toys right before we went camping and I remember playing it them there and I also remember wearing the hat while playing with them in my house’s hallway

I remember begging my parents to get the complete Happy meal toys for Pokémon Omega Rubby and Alpha Sapphire, Mario Kart 8 and Minions.

happy meal toys hold a special place in my heart and ive been collecting them recently, i have to thank the channel fastfoodtoyreviews because i always watch a new video of his just to discover a new kids meal set i might want to buy, genuinely so much fun as a hobby and im happy there's been more appreciation for them as of late

I had a lot of Disney happy meal toys, like a talking nemo, squishy blob from treasure planet and poseable elastigirl. I also had a lot of Barbie, strawberry shortcake and hello kitty happy meal toys.

6:45 I remember when I was 6 and got this book from my happy meal, I just cried. But on the bright side, 2 years later I learnt how a garbage disposal worked so I threw my copy of the book into it.

The ones I remember the most were the Minions, Sponge Out of Water, and Ice Age Continental Drift toys Nowadays I actually have a pretty decent collection of Mario Happy Meal Toys (some day I want to have them all) and some of the Pokemon cards along with the entire Sonic 2 set

I remember once as a wee lad I went to McDonald’s during their Power rangers samurai promotion, i not only got the red ranger but also his fire smasher in the same box

Bro I remember having the Tepig figure and the 2012 Pikachu, Dewott, and Woobat The Pokémon ones were dope

getting bakugan in my happymeal made my childhood. also some of those sets you showed at the end throws me off cuz there is at least 1 toy that wasn’t accessible to us, like it was exclusive to other countries

The two Happy Meal toy lines I remember the most fondly are the Hotwheels and Bakugan lines.

I stopped eating happy meals in 2009 so I'm glad I'm not the only "old" person here

icb the jungle book 2 sets didn't get brought up! you could build them as is or connect the walls and bridges with other sets, i remember having a bag full of different wall pieces from various sets. kept me occupied for HOURS as a kid :') snapping them together and making houses out of them is peak nostalgia for me!

This is interesting for me as an example of a generational gap, but only slightly. The only toys in this video I got were some of those Clone Wars bobble head ship things. It’s not case of me being a decade older than you and not recognizing anything, but just being a few years older to where my experience was only slightly different. For example, you mention the ad campaign for Amazing Spider-Man 2, but the campaign that’s memorable for me is Spider-Man 3 (Raimi trilogy). I swear, the symbiote suit was inescapable. Only difference is Burger King was a big rival with toys back then, so the Spider-Man 3 stuff was there instead of McDonalds. I also remember Transformers 2 toys at BK very fondly. The other themes I remember from McDonald’s the most are Incredibles, TMNT 2007, Surf’s Up, Flushed Away, Bionicle, and a few others from that time period. Sorry for the essay, but this video is just interesting to me as an insight into the mind of someone only slightly younger than me. And again having an experience with these toys that’s completely different to mine, but also very similar.

The Hello Kitty houses, Hello Kitty Birthday, and Strawberry Shortcake McDonald's toys are so nostolgiac. I remember playing with the Hello Kitty ones all the time, and I can vividly remember the scent of the Strawberry Shortcake toys.

I remember I had the Astro boy toy of him flying and as a kid I would hold it up while riding the escalator at the mall pretending he was flying.

My favorite minion is Kevin. He literally sacrificed himself to stop Scarlet. He also been redeemed thanks to Nefario.

I owned a decent amount of those 2011 Pokemon. I remember going to McDonald's after my birthday that year with a friend. He got Pikachu and I got Tepig. I didn't have anything against Tepig, but I wanted Pikachu. I tried in vain to trade with my friend. My mom ended up running back into McDonald's to trade Tepig for Pikachu. Good times.

I do remember my sister and I having the thing, captain America, human torch and silver surfer McDonald’s toys back then.

2008 felt like the last year Mcdonald's actually tried with their Happy Meal toys. particularly in the case of the Transformers Animated toys given these were the last fastfood toy that really transformed.

Damn I remember seeing the goat eating commercials from McDonald’s and remembering getting the Mario kart 8 happy meal toys like the Mario cap and the peach bike toy, good times

Holy shit someone else remembers those Madame Amberly dolls. I don't know why, but as a kid I found something endlessly fascinating about them. I guess just because their was no other toys that looked quite like them. My parents were endlessly creeped out by them and found it odd that I asked for those over the lego batman toys, but they really were an interesting remnant of my childhood.

I grew up with some of these. I even had some of the minion toys. One of the other toys I had was the smurfs movie ones from the 2011 and 2013 set. I still have a few of them to this day.

I was thinking of not watching this, but I’m glad I did some of these especially at the end. I totally forgot and it takes me back.

I remember those tmnt 2012 season 4 figures where they went to space, I also remember them having very simple play features, like their hands spinning their weapons in the hands

We never got Happy Meals as kids. In fact, my dad boycotted McDonald's from the 70s til about late 2000s. Why? He went to one and asked to have his breakfast sandwich a certain way and the lady at the register was completely rude to him. We only went to Wendy's after that.

Oh man if you thought the Transformers Prime ones were good get your hands on some of the Transformers Animated happy meal toys. Those bad boys actually transform!

Fun fact So I've been collecting spider-man merch recently and trying to get at least one figure for all of my favorite spider-men and the Mcdonalds toys were legit the only toys for Spectactular that wouldn't cost me my leg nd they're pretty good, especially suction cup spidey. I'll also always have a soft spot for the Mario and Pokemon ones. (And I'll always find it hilarouis that the Mario movie toys proved that the toys don't have to come out alongside the material their based on they just come out when the deal says they do lol)

I still have a full set of the lego movie lenticular cups lol, love them to death and still use them pretty much on the daily

my absolute favorite toy line as a kid was this one line of power rangers toys, they were all zord vehicles for each ranger, but each one was a part that you could COMBINE INTO A MEGAZORD if you collected them all, i tried so hard to get them all, i was making trades with kids at school, and i didn't even like power rangers that much

It's awesome to see that you brought up Transformers Prime! Honestly despite the show's nightmarish development history the McDonald's toys were awesome. Tho the show itself I have a couple criticisms with its still one of my fave tf shows.

Man I remember having that suction cup Spectacular Spider Man toy and how much I licked the dirty cups to make sure they stick good. I also remember seeing the Star Wars bobble heads, I remember liking the R2D2 one but I didn’t like the Yoda one because I thought he was ugly. I still have a lot of Despicable Me 2 toys, I remember really wanting the purple minions, I don’t know why maybe I just liked how cracked up they were in the movie.
