Just fyi. Staff don't care if you steal. It's a highlight of an otherwise mundane day. The wilder the incident, the more it'll get talked about (e.g. methheads coming in, thinking they're being subtle, so long as they're not violent, we really don't care). Why would we put our lives on the line for some stores merchandise? You're trained not to stop them, just to call security, who can't do anything anyway because they're not police.

That scene in the car with Earn and Tracy was incredible acting from both of them, whoever played Tracy is so natural and convincing you honestly think that he's not acting. Donald's emotion in that scene was incredible as well, you can see the bent up tension in his body language and subtle actions like going to open the car door in a moving car. Such an incredible show man. Donald Glover is God sent.

bell hooks wrote a lot about that. when men go through extreme trauma especially violence, they start to destroy themselves by cutting off their emotions to deal with the pain. patriarchy destroys men by making them unable to process pain, and it usually results in violence, incarceration and suicide. abolishing patriarchy ain't just about helping women. it kills us too very literally

While there might be no real merit to the lawsuit and it might be an open and shut case, lawyers are greedy and expensive motherfuckers. There is practically 0 instances in a retail setting outside of jewelry stores where the liability risks of security intervening in a theft outweigh the actual losses from theft.
