Time to spend a day at our woodworking shop organizing, upgrading, and making room for new tools! Our shop has been assembled bit by bit over the last 15 years, and we have realized that some of the setup is not optimal for the type of projects we using it for.... all we needed was a rainy day and some man power to get it fixed up! Hey thanks Tom! He blew my mind when he pulled out that microscope
This is a good book. Does provide a step by step introduction to how to build things kzread.infoUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 , also does offer some steps. Includes pictures to give you ideas for layouts and such. If you are looking for a guide, this is not exactly what you want. But if you are trying to familiarize yourself with the way that pole barn building and other out buildings, are made, then this will work just as you need it to. A few things in this book are a barn (of course), detached garage, storage building, and coops.
Watching this I had a strange feeling I'd seen it before. Did a quick "research" . Turns out some of the content has been recycled from "Building the Farmhouse Day 38". Anyway, your videos are always entertaining. Keep up the great work :)

Thanks for figuring this out I was worried I’d had a stroke or this was incredible deja vu. Would love to have a shop like this.
This is definitely one of my favorite KZread channels! I normally get bored watching a 20-30 min video and find myself fast forwarding, but not with this channel. I could watch an hour or more and not be bored for 1 second. Keep up the great work guys.

Hey guys. If I remember correctly, you mentioned once that your father used to build small, affordable housing for families in your area. I would love to see a video on some of the houses he built. I enjoyed the video starring your step father and his guitar building skills. If any of your father's houses are still standing, I would love to see one

yeah, watching and hearing him talk about stuff, makes me want to make something from wood myself ! :D
I love when Erik just lets Jaime talk about stuff that he likes like this and doesn't trim it or speed it up.
Jason just makes me enjoy life. I hope he is as much fun in real life as he comes across in the videos.

I watch your videos with my 5yo daughter who only speak French. She don't understand a word of what Jason says but she just said to me "this guy is always happy". Keep on being so positive guys we love you!
I have been binge-watching your channel recently. The thing I enjoy the most is the relationship all of you have together. You are ALL brothers.....And I am envious of that...
I’m blowing through all your guys’ video catalog. I’m surprised you all aren’t always hired out and busy. I am so pleased you continue to post videos!
With the price of wood right now, Jaime has a treasure in his work shop, on that collection of wood.
Hey. guys. Just found your channels about a month ago and I'm hooked. I noticed a couple times, there were questions about carpentry pencils. MY grandfather was a carpenter during WWII and built houses for the ship builders in Portland, Ore. Anyway, he always said the pencil measured 1/4 x 1/2 so he always had those measures and didn't have to unfold the wood one. if you keep it sharpened correctly, it will stay sharper longer. Thanks for the great shows.
I will likely never build a house but you all are so fun to watch. Each one of you have distinct personalities and are entertaining in your own way. ❤ Thanks for all the hours spent with this old woman.
I turned 2 giant cabinets that were being thrown out at work that used to hold those massive drawings into my garage tool chest. Works so well!!!
Jamie: "You can't make more space." To which i say, yes you can. You are in the business of making more space. You are building living space day by day.
Jason Always make me smile. He is my favorite haha. I am new to this Channel and now im lovin it and very addictive tbh Jamie passion and knowledge of his work is amazingly incredible and entertaining at the same time. PS Jason Dancing at the end got me laughing so much 😆 😆
Should’ve put the heavy equipment on dollys while you had all those extra hands to help. Would have made it easier to move stuff in the future

20:46 French Cleats and rolling cart changed everything for us. I teach 9-12 woodworking and construction customizable tool wall with tool specific holders
Jamie love your attention to detail! Some may say anal or OCD but I'm the exact same way. It's just called doing it right the first time. Love how humble you guys are. You dealt with your accident so well and didn't let it stop you from keepin on. Keep it up gents love your videos so much!
Getting old does suck! Especially if you think like you're 35 when your actually 65. Looking forward to tackling some of the projects you guys have done. Awesome stuff ,keep it coming!
I was just getting into a groove of getting rid of lumber I didn't think I'd use in forever but with the market for lumber as it is, I'm literally taking things out of the trash now just in case :(
One of my favorites. I LOVE organization.
Jamie is so cool! Love your shop Jamie. You’re the man, all of you guys are!

I didn’t know Jamie was so well equipped! Why don’t you guys hire a carpenter when doing the finishing work. Make your own stairs, railings, with the Cnc you can make your own cabinets etc. I made all my own stuff for my house including fake raised panel doors from mdf etc with my Cnc. My entire kitchen cost somewhere around 1500 including engineered quartz countertops. You could cut your costs drastically!

This made my day gentleman. Lol back to the job Monday. I always watch videos I miss the Mtns I was born and raised in Murphy north Carolina. Live in California now. But have been a Carpenter my entire life. Just good energy guys thanks. Always good seeing yall even though im kinda new to your page. Hey over a month or 2 now. But enjoy a cold beer at the end of my day and watch some videos. All good 👍 👌 lol
One of the most unique and cool kitchens I ever built used workshop cabinets with a stainless steel finish along with butcher block countertops. It looked industrial, but a number of wood tones including the countertop warmed it up. It also was super heavy duty drawers. Nice shop there Jaime!

Ohhhh! I like that! That would make a pretty awesome kitchen.
Jamie... I'm glad that you shared how you lost your fingers. I was curious but didn't want to just ask. My father used to build kitchen and bathroom cabinets. He had a good sized shop but not as nice as yours. He lost one of his fingers in a shaper that the bit turned at like 22,000 rpm. He said he never even felt it, it wasn't until he saw the blood splater against the wall behind the shaper that he realized what had happened. He ended up losing a couple others too Dupuytren contracture. Turns out Dupuytren contracture is hereditary, both my brothers have had it and at 70 I'm starting to get it in one hand. I will say it doesn't seem to slow you down much. The new shop look is great.

A new Colour for the Workshop from Jamie and all to clear. And a Test from the Name to the Div. Drill. Erik make of Doctor and speech over Supplement Food. To last to Explain, why in his Workshop all is how is is. And he have all to his Idea make. 👍😉😂
You guys remind me of my grand dad great job always in our prayers.
Adding a larger size hose to your vacuum will increase air volume but you will lose velocity which is why it wont suck up larger shavings. I've learned alot in the automotive world that bigger is not always better. Anyways just a tip if you are still having issues with the vacuum system.
Nice Sunday Afternoon Video!! Thank you PBB keep up the good work!!
I loved this! It was fun to watch. The painting really made a difference. If Jaime can't find what he needs, he makes it!
Waiting on windows is so ridiculous. There are 10 houses in my area currently sitting idle and getting rained on/in waiting for windows. We are remodeling/additions to a house, bought all of our windows from a big box store because they had them on hand.
Getting old is cool . Working in a shop in your basement has to suck . I had a 30x50 building with 12 foot ceilings . It was 2x6 framed 5/8 sheet rocked with r-30 in the walls. Warm as it gets .
Jamie, on your bench was a hand saw miter box, it folds out and uses a hinge pin to keep it open, no doubt your grandfather’s , on my bench is the same miter box and it was my grandfather’s . We have a lot in common my friend, I even have the same Unisaw. Love your shop, and love the Perkins brothers and crew!

I'm on low dose TRT. Started about 3 months ago. I do a weekly injection. I noticed results after about a month so 4 injections. If you are a candidate get checked out. Not trying to lift heavier at the gym but that is where I noticed it the most. In other aspects I feel like I'm 18 again. It works!
Jamie your the bomb. Amazing shop and woods. Love the vacuum. 🦾🙏

lol at the 5 minutes build. A few years back, whilst waiting for my stuff to come when we moved back to our hometown just before xmas, I slapped together a Pine Table which I have since been repurposed as my work from home "desk".
Im cleaning up my garage right now and this video is motivating me super hard !
Foam inserts in those drawers will help Jaime I know he’s meticulous and he’d always know when somethings missing

AWESOME SHOP, Love you guys, you are fun bunch, normal dudes with lots of work, big and same fan from Ensenada, Baja Mexico
I never thought to cut the concrete and run the pipe under there. I always run them up above and have them drop down to the tool.
GREAT VIDEO... AWESOME JOB ON THE SHOP.
Another fantastic video, I'm just building my workshop at the moment, thanks for the tips and tricks in fitting it out, you guys make me laugh , thanks from the Uk !!!
I've been trying to figure out Jamie for a long time and this is the episode it finally clicked...He is me, or vice-versa....we think alot alike in how we see our work space! Looks great and btw, i also saw cut my concrete to route my dust collector pipe and power but i also added an airline pipe!
I see the dust collector hanging from the ceiling those are nice I have two in my shop I use mostly grizzly tools they are pretty good tools I also have my collection hose under ground for my table saw and also have my collector in it’s own room for sound
Thanks for the update video
