Our shop has been assembled bit by bit over the last 15 years, and we have realized that some of the setup is not optimal for the type of projects we using it for.... all we needed was a rainy day and some man power to get it fixed up! This is a good book. Does provide a step by step introduction to how to build things kzread.infoUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 , also does offer some steps. Includes pictures to give you ideas for layouts and such. If you are looking for a guide, this is not exactly what you want. But if you are trying to familiarize yourself with the way that pole barn building and other out buildings, are made, then this will work just as you need it to. A few things in this book are a barn (of course), detached garage, storage building, and coops.

Hey. guys. Just found your channels about a month ago and I'm hooked. I noticed a couple times, there were questions about carpentry pencils. MY grandfather was a carpenter during WWII and built houses for the ship builders in Portland, Ore. Anyway, he always said the pencil measured 1/4 x 1/2 so he always had those measures and didn't have to unfold the wood one. if you keep it sharpened correctly, it will stay sharper longer. Thanks for the great shows.

Make your own stairs, railings, with the Cnc you can make your own cabinets etc. I made all my own stuff for my house including fake raised panel doors from mdf etc with my Cnc. My entire kitchen cost somewhere around 1500 including engineered quartz countertops. You could cut your costs drastically!

Jamie... I'm glad that you shared how you lost your fingers. I was curious but didn't want to just ask. My father used to build kitchen and bathroom cabinets. He had a good sized shop but not as nice as yours. He lost one of his fingers in a shaper that the bit turned at like 22,000 rpm. He said he never even felt it, it wasn't until he saw the blood splater against the wall behind the shaper that he realized what had happened. He ended up losing a couple others too Dupuytren contracture. Turns out Dupuytren contracture is hereditary, both my brothers have had it and at 70 I'm starting to get it in one hand. I will say it doesn't seem to slow you down much. The new shop look is great.

Some of those old tools Jamie has reminds me of my father’s. He still has them around and they do come in handy😀.
