His expression of life, growing up, love, and experiences are all so real. He has driven every road to who he became. We all do. He just expressed it better. RIP ROD

Some day I hope Rod is acknowledged as a superior lyricist. This is a combination of his ability to write a sweet love song and his experience in France learning to perform the ultra dramatic chansons with Jacques Brel. I also must praise A Warm Place, as he wants to be known, for his superb artistry in making this video. Yes, I agree it is breathtaking. It is also sensual, artistic and full of bittersweet yearning, as Rod meant the song to be. I’ve known the song for 50 years or more and A Warm Place makes it NEW. Bravo!
