Interesting, I was taking my nieces downtown NYC, Trinity Church where Robert Emmet is memorialized, also William James MacNeven (inscriptions in Irish English his grave) - they even had never heard of Emmet...

In the heart if Ireland, Irish people singing Irish songs in the best weather of the year, absolutely brilliant and refreshing,more of this for next year please.

Agree about the tears, proud of Irelands younger generations but nationalism? The song tells a story about the struggles of the nation in past times. Today, Ireland is an open and inclusive country, what a true republic should be. I believe the patriots sung about in the song would be proud it they could see it. Nationalism today can be skewed by populists who are defensive and inward looking not republicans in the truest sense.

EP 2024 Will be huge because of this performance by the Wolfe Tones...Main stage next year.

Actually a song about Grace Gifford and Joseph Plunkett during the Irish Revolution in 1916 ..yeah it is about love but also love of one's country.

Goosebumps and tears. The younger generations get knocked for how they cope in the modern world. They know who they are and that makes me proud.

The song is about Joseph Plunkett. 1916 hero. Look it up lads. You will be in tears.
