The guy introducing Leo onto the stage in the last scene is the real Jordan Belfort
The fact that this is based on a true story makes it even better

I hope Jordan repented his sins and learned his lesson from his mistakes. And I still wait patiently for Patrisse Cullors and her scam BLM to go down the same way.
Your reaction to an Australian actor's attempt at a Brooklyn accent has opened my eyes to how convincing the Australian accents attempted by American actors all these years must have been for American viewers.
@orangewarm1

it was actually a very good accent for that particular part of Brooklyn . this guy just nit picks everything.
The speaker on stage at the end, is the real Jordan Belfort that the movie is based on.
32:20 this movie was so great that it made him change his shirt. 🤣🤣🤣
“Boogie Nights” is a movie i’d say is similar to this.
"Requiem for a Dream" is a wild ride. I'm willing to bet you'll enjoy it. ✌🏼
There is another movie inspired by Jordan's book, it's called The Boiler Room and it's from the point of view of one of the brokers who went to work for him
@bobcobb3654
7 ай бұрын
Boiler Room was not based on Belfort’s book. In fact, it was made nearly ten years before Belfort’s book was published. He likes people to think he invented the pump and dump stock scam, but plenty of less than reputable telemarketers were into it way before he hit the scene.
If you liked this you'll love The Big Short with Brad Pitt.

Wait, I was shocked when you didn’t recognize even the name Margot Robbie. You’re going to want to check more of her work out. I recommend starting with Focus, and Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (a Tarentino film).

The guy with all the energy that introduced him at the end of the movie is the real Jordan Belfort
His cellmate was Tommy Chong, who also convinced him to write the book. Also, watch Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (another crazy based on a true story movie)
LMAF!! Another great channel MRLBOYD. Jordan went straight when he was released from club-fed and became a sought after international speaker and sales trainer - yes, a sales trainer to this day and doing quite well.
JEFF was HERE Watch Dogma
Great reaction as always. I think the "Boiler Room" should be on your list soon. I think you would love it.
Another movie that's just as insane as this, maybe even more so, is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
'The Big Short' is another great financial movie to react to
Put respect on Margot Robbies' name. Lol. Also, you should watch more Martin Scorsese films.
57:44 The real Wolf of Wall Street Jordan Belfort was the guy here who introduced Leo to the audience.
As a filmmaker and a fan of your other channel, I'm very much enjoying the content on this one. I saw that a few others had also recommended "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas" if you want a crazy film that goes down the drug rabbit hole. Otherwise I would give my strong recommendation to what I consider Scorsese's masterpiece and one of my personal favorite films "Casino", which has the same structure as this but darker and acts as a follow up film to "Goodfellas". It focuses on the true story of Sam Rothstien that during the 70's ran a high-end Vegas casino for the mob.
Yeah it’s based on Jordan Belfort, and if you want another movie go “debauchery” based on real person Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is based on Hunter S. Thompson

You took the words right out of my mouth! Fear and Loathing in a MUST!
1:25 The helicopter pilot is played by the nephew of the former Governor of Connecticut Dan Malloy. His name is Kerry. He and I did community theater doing stage show and we even went to Westhill High School in Stamford, CT and did other shows such as Guys and Dolls (He was Sky Masterson, I was Brannigan) but we also did a production of Evita (He was Che, I was Juan Peron). He even emailed me about his time on the film, even going so far as mentioning me to legendary director Martin Scorsese and about how knowledgeable I am about film, a message that almost gave me a near fatal heart attack. 😅
YES!! YES!!! HE'S FINALLY WATCHING THIS FILM!!! THANK YOU!!!

(Service year: 1970-1985). so, NOT the FBI. and the guy that was on his a$$ worked for the SEC....NOT the FBI. 🤔 so WHO you talkin bout??
Loving The Reactions!!👍
Babylon, another fantastic portrayal of human debauchery at it's finest. Hollywood does it better than anyone. Check it out. It's a really good movie too.

Margot Robbie is Haley Quinn but my favorite is when she played the famous Toya Harding
The guy that introduces Jordan at the end when he says sell me this pin is the real wolf of wall street
I met the guy when I was selling Kirby vacuums. Jordan Belfort is absolutely insane, but he knows how to motivate salesmen. Had my best month after meeting him.
fear and loothing las vegs with Johnning deep
If you're looking for something similar, you might enjoy Gangs of New York. Same director and lead, lots of different layers to the plot, same issues with accents, same constant visual overstimulation, same attention to detail. Some folks call it C-tier Scorsese, and it has problems, for sure, but it is absolutely lush, visually almost overindulgent, and I think the history touchpoints will be a strong point for you.
I can't wait to see you react to Margin Call and The Big Short, both movies about the financial crisis of 2008, both very different but very good.

Awesome as usual. The Big Short is a good follow up to this. Also true story.
This happened in real life but the person it's based on says it was much wilder than it was in this movie. They toned it down to make it more believable. if the people saw how wild it was they wouldn't believe it.
Fun fact, the Lamborghini Leonardo crashes in the movie was sold in that condition on an auction a month ago for 1,6 million USD.
Lol, the Wiz and Crazy Eddy...
Fact on the burgers!!!! Just had 1 last weekend:!
One of the best movies ever.
If you are enjoying films about finance, may i suggest "The Big Short" from 2015 that deals with the 2007 housing market crash.

This is a standout reaction from you I would say. Fantastic movie, you provided some great insight on many things, and I think you really found a good balance between letting the movie play out, and pausing it to give commentary. I think some previous videos definitely had too much pausing, but this one has been perfect. Great reaction man. Happy New Year!
@26:23 Apparently the answer is yes. @maxfosh has a video about him doing that exact same thing called, "I Became the World's Richest Man for 7 Minutes".

You would like the big short Not as crazy but it was crazy financially in true life just like this movie
most of the things are real, he really did crash his helicopter in his yard, donny did sollow a fish hole, his boat sunk, he really drove home and thought he didnt crash into anything when cops took him in they couldnt prove he had drugs in him while he was driving, and he said the amount of drugs and party shown was 10x craizer

100% react to Boiler Room!!! "Act as if", you will get the saying once you watch it.
I think you misunderstood that scene. Jordan didn't feel bad about the cheating as he is accustomed to it, he felt horrible for having actual feelings for Naomi and having to break that through to his former wife. Henceforth, that's why the question is emphasized and the silence gives a strong response. Also, another misconception is that Naomi is merely a gold digger when she really isn't. After all, she already had family money and a company of her own. If anything she clearly was physically attracted to Jordan, and economically interested too. This is very superficial or rather twisted by normal standards but it's not really the same as gold-digging, which is more noticeable when you see her outburst and strong emotion for Jordan.
you should watch i tonya. great based on a true story film.
