the biggest weakness of quest rogue was the lack of good healing to stabilize against aggro decks. now they have a 2 mana card that removes and gets 5 health at minimum, usually 10 health from a followup trade if not removed by a spell. so yeah, pretty fucking good card to get oh yeah, and dirty rat also rotated out to prevent even more potential counterplay

Chris P. Ferryman rotated aswell tho, its harder to complete now. It did recieve a good tool for sure, but its not groundbreaking unlike what hadronox druid or kathrena hunter got.

Its pretty easy to complete the quest with Sonya and chargers though. So yeah it only needed the healing from Scalehide.

You guys might be wrong, it is 100% the meta. Deck hardly got better, but others got much worse except those that were bad against it.

If a Mage comes up against a quest Rogue does Counter Spell stop the quest effect or is it not technically a spell so it would not have any effect?

The lifesteal rush single handedly changed the trajectory of this deck. Finally Rogue has a way to stabilize

That minion has rush not charge wouldn't have worked

this is the worst time to be a control deck player, the aggro decks are strong enough to contest them, and quest rogue is fucking back too...

Editing was really off this video. Audio was 95% in the left ear and there were several points in the video where the video would skip forward a few seconds and wait for the audio to catch up.

Why is Toast's mic coming into my left ear louder?

I find this expansion's been rather interesting as it's a new expansion but it's given new life to cards that were the main attraction of a set that came out a year ago, like making quest hunter finally an actually playable deck and not a complete joke, also giving the final pieces to combo quest druid.

plz enlighten me did vicious scalehide made the deck op or what, its the only new card added as far as I can see

Lerbyn the actual meta makes it good (+scalehide is great to catch up on health/board but it's a small +)

Zola and Sonya made the quest much more consistent to pull off in K&C. The problem with the deck was that you had no healing so even after you finished the quest the opponent could often just kill you by continuously hitting you in the face and you couldnt put a bunch of removal/healing in the deck without lowering the consistency of the quest. Scalehide does both in one card, removing minions and healing you, shoring up the main weakness of the deck without taking much deck space. The standard rotation also removed Dirty Rat which was the main counter to Quest Rogue while only losing the Ferryman, which was the worst bounce effect in the deck anyway and often unnecessary cause Sonya and Zola were so good. I dont really think the meta is all that much better. Its still mostly a bunch of aggro/spiteful decks + cubelock with the occasional taunt druid/quest warrior.

first time ive watched the channel and its enjoyable man! but some plays seemed really daft in that last game lol. but shows the strength of the deck. nicely done!

just faced this deck D:

you only kill them with 5/5's... as opposed to quest mage where you only kill them with 6 damage fireballs to the face. or otk priest with 10+ damage spells to the face or otk rogue with 10+ damage spells to the face. or shaman/priest where you play a single card that continually does repeated spells. 90% of decks now are some form of face damage with a single win condition are they not?

Unfortunately, Toast doesn't play quest rogue nearly as well as Firebat does... First mage would be dead about 5 turns earlier.

you played against decks that are good matchups for quest rogue. Do the same video, but against baku paladin, or even paladin and see how it goes.

Its not about Witchwood's cards. Witchwood's meta is slow, more control decks are played so Quest rogue playable
