I was at a Rush concert in Mansfield the night the Celtics wound up winning the NBA championship (Geddy Lee was wearing a "Beat LA" shirt that night). While we were leaving, a guy wearing a Yankees windbreaker was spotted. One of the riggers saw him and shouted into a live microphone "GO BACK TO CONNECTICUT, YOU F***!!!"

If thou were to look up Old Engliſh, thou would ſee that in fact, Old Engliſh is an older form of Engliſh, ſpoken by the Anglo-ſaxons before the Battle of Haſtings, more akin to Germanic or Gaelic languages than thine own verſion of Engliſh.

Yeah, hi, longtime NH resident here 10 years ago we would have had a right to complain about masshole drivers, but now? Nononono. NH drivers are just as bad now. Somewhere in the last decade everyone in NH apparently agreed to disavow the concept of the stop sign and tailgating somehow became the height of driving courtesy And no traffic in NH? I betcha that guy has never been to Manchester. NH has lost all right to act superior to Mass in all but two categories our Dunkins are better than their Dunkins and our cigarettes are cheaper

in-joke. If Dunkin Donuts were truly accurate, their slogan would be "Massachusetts runs on Dunkin". It almost literally does. Everyone who grows up there comes away with an incurable fondness for their terrible donut holes. Myself included.

The irony of these videos, in conjunction with your Civil War compendium, is quite striking. Indeed, the 17th century residents of Massachusetts Bay were intolerant and strident in their endeavor to create the proverbial City on a Hill. The irony arises insofar, as it that very self-same assurance and intolerance for perceived evil, that made their descendants, some 150 years later, both the first and most strident abolitionists. The unwillingness to accept or compromise with wrong-doing, while extreme even by 17th century standards in neighboring colonies (though certainly not as pervasive in MB as we now think)..led in a direct line to an unwillingness to accept taxation without representation (notwithstanding the taxes were miniscule by English standards)...then to the abolitionist, women's rights and Progressive movement, While one may debate that a certain air of hypocrisy attends all these causes and those who promoted it......the Witch-Finder's descendants may well have first sounded that fire-bell in the night for white Americans and well have later died in the pursuit of their convictions...keep up the brilliance and that most amazing accent...

I love how everything is basically OK (blasphemers, Protestants in name only and even witches in the heart of Salem), but the second he discovers that there is a Catholic in Salem, he is beside himself and instantly prepares to track down the idolatrous Papist! Masterfully done, sir!

I think he considers Catholicism an existential threat, while he considers witches evil, but more of a nuisance
