It's more like everybody started equating Iron Man to RDJ, which is the opposite of how a situation should be when it comes to an actor acting like a certain character. RDJ Tony and Comic Tony are pretty different, until they started changing the comic to seem more like RDJ Tony haha.

What I love is that Henry seems to make a conscious effort to mention the names of people in his team. Usually, it's like "the makeup team did this" or "our costume designer worked on it" but Henry's like, here's the name of my makeup artist, the person responsible for my hair, and the gym I went to in Budapest while we're at it" Like, he's aware that he's the first front of people working in the film industry and always the center of attention, but there are so many more people working silently in the background, and he's doing his best to share his spotlight with them and I love it, I love this man

You can tell how genuine he's being just by his enthusiasm and how quickly he responds to her questions in a gushing way. I'm glad he has found a good role because all of his other performances (especially superman) have been kinda shite and I don't think it's entirely his fault.

I know that many will disagree, but even if he lied I am fine with that. Actors and especially producers nowadays don't even pretend. It's always: yea you are toxic, why do you even care you are such stupid nerds, yada yada. A tiny amount of my money went to that man and I am fine with that, good money for good work and a respectful relationship.

Which, let's be honest, this first season Destroyed season 8 of GOT. All the actors on that show are fucking embarrassed of how shotty the ending was, and they filmed it lol. Book to film was done well, and even video game to movie was done well. The only complaint I have is not enough character development for 3 separate timelines. The show needs 10-12 episodes, not 8. If they fix that, fans will be That much happier 💯

Honesly Henry Cavill is living every nerds dream. Being handsome and also being able to play your favorite video game and coming book characters.

Every interview should be like this. Interviewers should guide the conversation and ask follow-up questions but the questions should always prompt hopefully lengthy and passionate answers from the person being interviewed.

Comparing Witcher to GoT is like comparing Star Trek to Star Wars. You never hear things like "Wrath of Khan is way better than Empire Strikes Back" - we love both and don't even think of comparing them.

In GoT, Vladimír Furdík (The King of the Night) was in charge of the fight choreography and of training Jonh Snow with the Sword achieving incredible choreographies. In The Witcher Netflix added this Plus by hiring the Excellent Vladimir Furdik to do the same, he trains Henry Cavill (Gerald) and it is his double risk. As if that were not enough, they also hire the same landscaper of Got who will work with production to make everything perfect according to the century. It has nothing to do with GoT? Of course not. Exactly 2 elements that were epic in GoT. (It's nice to be curious WINK)

It really blows my mind the way he nailed the whole speech aspect. I was expecting Cavill sounding like himself, but with added bass. But god damn he sounds just like Geralt on the ps4. I know, I know, Books =/= game saga, but I bet there is a large demographic % watching the series who spent plenty of hours playing the game, and listening to Geralt talk, so having his very distinct tone and delivery burned into our brains is inevitable. This man actually pulled it off, he managed to turn into the Witcher and its f****g great

I've never read the books or played the games and I loved it. My Polish friend who plays the games and read the books loves it. But there are people online nit-picking and who were looking for a carbon copy of the books and didn't get it. Can never please all the fans or even general viewers.

Finish watching the show yesterday. Loved it!

I love seeing an actor so passionate about their characters and the series their apart of, this interview just shows how much Henry just loves Geralt and just loves The Witcher in general

Let's be clear Henry is killing it as Geralt!!! Damn...

I don’t think I’d be able to speak in his presence. He’s so beautiful. And he’s a massive nerd! Perfect man. Absolutely perfect.

He talks so intelligently and elegantly I love it so much

Usually not a fan of women interviewers with Henry, but she was very professional and had some good questions in there

Cavill isn't gonna let anyone disrespect fans. He has always had the fans back. Those of us that have followed his career since early on have waited for him to get a role like this. 💞

As nd yet they gave the show bad reviews. Well I ave been watching it and this show is excellent. The stunts, acting, music and tone all perfectly capture the feel of the game. Henry Cavill is dead on as Geralt. Yennifer is also great. I hope we see more of Triss as she was sort of touched on but not really featured. Cirella is also very well done. The characters feel real, the dialogue is excellent and thank God it's not game of thrones. This show has violence and foul language and sex because they are part of life. But it also has heart. And hope. Watch it if you want to be challenged as well as entertained.

Comparing The Witcher to Game of Thrones is like comparing Star Wars to Star Trek. They are their own thing, stop comparing.

In all the interviews I’ve seen with Henry, he is always polite, sincere, humble and self deprecating. He’s a well grounded chap, I like this.

This dude could read me the whole game manuscript and I’ll be at his feet for every second of it

One of the best adaptations of a character from a novel or game that I've ever seen. He sounded identical to game Geralt to the point where it was uncanny. Brilliant performance that critics won't recognize due to the simplicity of the character.. They don't realize how difficult it is to do that voice

francis mendiola as someone who is studying hair, it removes pigment from hair. Over processing hair can kill it. To safely make his hair that light and grey it would have been a long process as not to over do his hair. It also would have taken a very long time to grow it back out. Production companies and agents would rather him wear a wig so he can do other projects also.

i love he pronunced Budapest correctly.

He's really a nerd. Not just for the witcher, but for games and books. He did reads a lot for Superman, you can ask him anything and he would answer it in a clever and enthusiastic way. So glad there are really people in the show or movie business who's really really really into their stuff.

Hats off to you Cavill, You really are Geralt.

@@esawfranco_xiii Would argue that this season was like 10 episodes, since each was 55+ minutes of actual new content. Compare that with The Mandalorian for example, where some eps are like 27 minutes without the review at the beginning and the credits later.

I cant wait for the rest of the season ,luv his acting skills was epic.😍👍

i watched the show and i have to say if thier ever been a adaptation of a character from the books or the games is that henry being Geralt is the best casting choice. I admit i was skeptical at first but when i watched the show. He's voice, Demeanor, stature. Really does give the character of Geralt justice. As someone who has 200 hours in the games i believe he did a superb job as Geralt.

The first smile I really noticed was when he saved Jaskier from the angry guy in court in 1x04. But it was a brief, smaller smile than the one with Yen.

One of the best shows I have seen in a while ....from the costumes, to the acting and the storyline......can’t wait for the next season ....I binge watched it the whole night yesterday and rewatching it again today

Honest to goodness I love this man! He has such potential and I'm glad people are finally seeing it!!!

I kinda snobbed him off seeing him everywhere as superman - but as Witcher I’m definitely noticing him in a new light 😍

i just love how he is into, into the character and this universe and how he likes it, and I really find him very good on this role ! Well played Sir, you nailed it ! And hope you'll keep on nailing it !

How can someone not like this guy, he's such a great fit for the role. I enjoyed the first season so much, looking forward to the second one.

I love henry cavill hes not afraid to say what he loves. Hes just himself and i wouldnt want any other witcher.

Love Anya and Henry. They act out their characters to the T. Their chemistry is out of this world.

I keep saying he's a nerd the size of three nerds.

i am so happy that the show was not a let down . Usualy games/books dont turn out so good as show , but this one 9/10 . I cant wait for next season .Though jen and trist , atleast teir appearance, could improve !

This guy answers questions ad feels so natural. It feels like he was born for this.

Great interview, fascinating to see the transition from stony-faced Geralt to articulate and expressive Henry Cavill. His passion for the series and the fact that he plays World of Warcraft are all the bonafides he needs :-)

He is 100% Geralt, I can't unsee it

You can even ask him stupid questions and his answers will be still interesting and relevant.

Henry did an amazing job, you can tell when someone really puts hard work into their role. The entire show was just great, cant wait for season 2!

When i heard him talk in the first episode I Had a feeling he played the games,and one scene where he was riding roach and when he slowed him down he said "whoaa" just like in the game !

Game of Thrones died years ago, nobody's gonna make comparisons anymore...

You can really tell that he is a huge fan of this when you see him in it.

Just finished watching the first season and I gotta say I absolutely loved it. Henry Cavill did a terrific job as usual can’t wait for season 2

I dont know why i am still watching this after binging the series I just cant get over it

He is the best choice to play the Witcher in my opinion. He understands the books and games. He is a great actor. And his physical appearance is perfect for the role. Huge respect ✊ 🇩🇰PS. one big thing I like about Henry is that, though he is a super star he is a very humble guy. He gives so many shoutouts to his co workers, fans etc etc. very likable person indeed.

The interviewer is like “ blah blah blah I’m so glad I got chosen to be in the same space as this god”😂🥰

I am happy they found the right person for the role, if it was someone who has never played the games or the read the books you know your gonna have to wait and see how it turns out. Proud of Henry putting his best into this series, I was critical about the series at first but as soon as started watching the first episode... I was hooked, Great job and great execution!

The fact that this guy has pure love for the character and the story makes him the perfect fit for the series. Watched the whole series in one go. Loved it. Gonna wait for S02 now, I guess..

It´s really amusing to see everyone claiming "he´s always been the best choice and i had no doubt about him being casted" now. I remember everyone trashing Netflix & Cavill when he was first announced as Geralt haha

Totally! I knew from a couple of interviews that he was a fan of the games, so I was quite optimistic. And I'm so glad he nailed the role 100% ❤️ Would've been a shame if he hadn't. I think he's the equivalent of what Ryan Reynold is to Deadpool.
