Beautiful. This is my ideal retirement house. One level, two bedroom,two full bath,1/2 bath house. It has a sunroom and a halfway around porch. Perfect! ❤

I’ve been researching homes and floor plans even though I’m 12 and I’ve always wanted a cute vintage cottage and this is the DREAM.

this house is spot on. 21/2 baths, pantry and a good size laundry room. it has quite a bit of storage and I love the sun room.

This is lovely! I would turn the toilet in the half bath to the same wall as the sink, so it does not face the door. In the master bath I would move the toilet to the space occupied by the shower and make the tub a larger shower. In the second bath, I would again move the toilet to the space occupied by the shower and add a second sink under the window.

It would be very hard to fault this design. It ticks my boxes for layout, amenities, and design. That sun porch is the jewel in the crown! This would be a very comfortable and generously appointed home!

Yes it's lovely isn't it, except for one layout problem I see. There is no direct access from the kitchen to the bbq area which, if you look at most floor plans, is a bit of a no no. One ideally shouldn't have to be walking out the front door and around the verandah to get to an entertainment/food area - nor should guests be walking through the laundry to get there. Otherwise - very nice. Perhaps the plan could be tweaked just a bit by flipping the kitchen/lounge area the other way - then adding a door directly out from the kitchen if possible. Oh - and one other possible improvement maybe......get rid of the glass partition between the kitchen and the sun front room. Possibly only leave the 'along the top' decorative glass work for visual delineation purposes. Too many solid walls - even if glass - can make a home overly boxed in looking, which makes spaces appear smaller than necessary. If this glass walling was meant as a temperature buffer - then perhaps put up a less intrusive problem solver like thermally efficient blinds inside the sunroom area instead. Cheers

I so agree!!! Our house’s floor area is almost the same size but our layout is horrendous😂 this was a fixer upper and now after seeing this video, i am really wanting to tear this down and start from scratch🤦‍♀️

The only thing I would change is the tiny showers. For the master bath (left), I would take out the tub altogether and just expand the shower to have a bench and a wand and oversized rain shower heads (& grab bars). The other bath (right) I'd make that shower into a linen storage closet and put in a walk-in tub/shower combo with some lovely jacuzzi jets. That way you have both a tub for soaking and relaxing and also a shower with low/no threshold and you're prepared for whatever limitations your golden years might bring. You know, hope for the best but plan for the worst. Anyone can use a bathroom that accommodates the disabled but the disabled need bathrooms that accommodate them.

Such wonderful home with porch next to sunroom going towards the dining room and kitchen to pantry and love warm living room and bedroom to cupboard and wardrobe to bathroom nice one and lastly like laundry room to the exit awesome.😊🎉😅

I would change only one thing.... change the carport to a garage and the total package would be PERFECT!

Perfection! My only criticism is the TV above the fireplace. If the fireplace is gas or electric, no issues, but if it’s a wood burning fireplace, it damages the TV. Also, looking up at a TV isn’t ideal.

This is definitely a retirement home. Beautiful

very nice home and I really like the way the living room and the dining room are seperate. I love the walk in pantry, and the laundry room is perfect. I would prefer to see more closed cupboards in the kitchen and have more drawer space, I like the 2 bathrooms plus the half bathroom, and I love the sunroom, and the wrap around porch. I just wish there was 3 bedrooms, and an office, and a craft/sewing room.😊😊🥰🥰

I love this one! I really like that the living room is separate from the kitchen. I'm getting tired of seeing the open floor plan. When a house is small, it's nice to have different rooms to go, and the cooking smells don't take over the entire house either. I LOVE the sun porch and would spend most of my time out there (providing it was a 4 season room). I thought that the kitchen was a bit small until I saw the room behind it. Perfect! The only thing I would change is to have more closet space. If you live in an area like MN, you have to have clothes for every season (sometimes all in the same day lol) and coats, boots, etc. so both mine and my husband's wouldn't fit in that closet.

Simply gorgeous I am going to revisit the setting again . All I need is the plans. Thanks such luxury in a small space homely and comfortable.

A beautiful home! I love the porch and the sun room, they really make it special. Just imagining lounging and chilling in those spaces, what a dream! The only thing I'd change is that'd I have the kitchen as a separate and enclosed space. I guess a lot of us in Europe still regard the kitchen more like a service area and not really a living area, and we don't fancy having the upholstery and the whole house smelling of food XD But in theory it looks nice and open, lots of lights coming through is very uplifting.

Here's my two cents! I like more space or should I say more square footage. I think this design would be perfect for me if the door openings were wider, more space on the wrap porch, definitely larger closet space and more space in the bathrooms and laundry room. The kitchen is fine, but would want better grade cabinets and countertop. This would suit my taste perfect. Not into small spaces, too confining for me. Yet, it is a beautiful well thought-out design. Congratulations.🎉

Take some space from the huge pantry to make a closet for the second bedroom.

Welp, found it … been looking for decades at pictures, videos and ads for houses in all 20 locations all over the country that I have lived, trying to find one that felt 100% right; one where the design, the layout, the decor, the yard, … basically, all the aesthetics called to me. This is it … after 58 years (and now that the kids are grown,) this is the ONE that feels like home.

Not a lot of time was spent on kitchen. Absolutely love stove/oven. Wish sink was a farmers sink. Looks huge on the outside but only came out to a 2 bedroom.

Nice house. I really like the sun room, but not on the front of the house. I would have to move the kitchen and dinning room up then have an office. I would want a sun room on the back of the house close to the porch. I like that the two bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, and the closets were outside of the bathrooms. Finally loved the half-bath and the car port. The house is pretty much perfect for me. If the sunroom had to remain on the front, I would want a glass that would not shatter. If it exists. I think the doors would tempt burglars.
