No one mentioned the music, so I will. I saw a lot of these Oswalds on Tv as a kid, and I always liked the jolly sound of them, with lots of xylophone and wooden block accents - certainly some of the cartooniest music to be heard in that era.

A list of thoughts watching this fine, magical, cartoon. Those fly-bys in geometric space were great special effects. The villain looked like a prototype of Mickey Rat. Oswald and Kitty are cuter, but Kitty certainly retains her rubber hose skills. I was surprised to see that in 1932 mini Mickey is still showing up in Lantz's Oswald toons. The flying horse nearly stole the show and if Bill Nolan was still the head animator that character was where he put his most loving talents, and the fact that he turned out to be not only a fantastic creature, i.e a pegasus, however dilapidated, but also a cyborg was very, very cool. And while there undoubtedly more that might be said about this little gem (eg the elephant-camel battle or the strangely deserted city) the final chimera of elephant/camel/villain/Pegasus was a fabulous beast indeed, and the expression on the camel's face was priceless.

+CartoonLover5 AAHC I believe it's meant to be a simplified (and very distorted) mosque temple; put in to simulate a feeling of perspective. Keep in mind the animation was finished probably without testing.
