Damn true. Cringe is a new form of social pressure of any atypical behaviour. If you different, so you are cringe. We, Gen-Z, just rediscover social acceptance and conformism. I may be cringe but I'm free.

i also think cringe is heavily linked to toxic shame. which is not healthy at all and leads to social isolation and depression

Cringe can be distasteful...but also in a lot of cases...the cringe is in the eye of the beholder. Our reactions to other people's actions are based on our own experiences, insecurities and issues! This thought really helps me in the process of unlearning the subconscious fear of cringe. :D Great video, Grace 💖

I love this! Unexpectedly got a text from my boss that we were gonna open late today so I had an extra hour to do whatever and decided to watch some youtube. This popped up in my recommended and it's exactly what I needed :') I kinda feel like a loser because I'm almost 20 and I'm back living with my parents after getting kicked out of school (But I'm on the road to getting back in!). I don't have any friends and I'm a cabbage farmer. I kind of just go to work and go home. I don't even have a driver's license (Again, working on it). I feel like I'm not living a meaningful life. It feels kinda tough to be yourself when you don't have anyone in your corner to encourage you, but this really inspired me

I can attest! I'm a furry (which is pretty damn cringe), but I was kinda closeted about it for over a decade. This past year and a half, I embraced it a lot more: made myself a wolf fursuit as a Halloween costume, started a KZread channel, and even went to a couple of furry conventions. I've made a couple friends and had a great time with other people who like the same weird hobby as me. Embracing the cringe has been great! Highly recommend! ^w^

i had this realisation a few days ago so i really feel like i was meant to see this, and it’s so true. once you act in alignment with your true authentic self and do the things you truly want to do and hang out with people who are on the same wavelength as you no matter how other people perceive you, everything falls into place. i’m still trying to gain the courage to do so but it’s good to see someone else on the same journey as me

I’ve just found your KZread channel and wanted to say thank you for being you and posting such authentic, courageous and valuable content! I’ve been wanting to make a proper KZread channel for years and have let the fear of being “cringe” stop me. I feel so inspired by you embracing and voicing your vulnerability. I am ready to take a leaf out of your book 😊. (Ps I’m from the byron shire and definitely recognise you)

i made a video for my mom on her birthday. it was a "my mom ages like fine wine" video with an edit of her from 5-50 years old. i didnt post it thinking nobody posts their mom wont it be a little weird when most people do is put a story? i needed a little motivation and you know what, this was it. the smile she gave me seeing that video made it all worth it so thank you❤. i owe you that smile
