Those basic Scart to HDMI all in ones are pretty versatile - but overblow the contrast out levels killing onscreen details...

I think the best method for playing wii games and gamcube (not official) is using wii u with hdmi :)

That's what I use and with the wii u you can play gamecube games on the gamepad if you make an inject. I use wii u and also dolphin emulator on the pc with a mayflash dolphin bar for the wii games.

No. When u use 1080p resolution on Wii U the virtual Wii converts it to 480i making no actual difference

@user-ro8ij1ht1w yes but you have native hdmi and not this cheap noisy adapter, noisy mean I had some artefacts, noises on the screen, I had to use noise remove option on lg TV feature

I still remember when I hard modded my Wii with Wode (Wii optical disk emulator). The trill of not messing anything i❤️❤️❤️

With components, you can use the first plug and it will act as yellow composite. If you dont have a component plugin

I also use this HDMI dongle and it's true that the image quality is better than with the original AV cable. It would be a shame to do without it considering the price

I don't know, the hdmi dongle was a bit dark, and I couldn't tell if it had better details, BUT! the audio indeed does sound better.

I bought cheap one for ps2 on eBay an it works like a new games graphic enhance difference like gta vice city looks so much better an u can use a normal hdmi cord for the ps2 with the hdmi 2 ps2 device

Desde mi punto de vista, mejora algo el usar cable de componentes frente a los adaptadores hdmi. Pero no lo suficiente como para justificar el usar uno frente a otro. Además de tener que ahorrarte más cables y adaptadores por medio. Eso sí, algunos adaptadores no funcionan bien. Aquí en mi canal tengo la prueba de un wii2hdmi que funciona fatal. Tiene muchísimo brillo

The Wii is the one system I didn't hold onto. When I found out that the Wii U could play Wii and GC games, I bought one for $100 from GameStop back in 2020. So worth the investment and it has native hdmi. This adapter is a good option for the collector who wants to play on original hardware.

i'm using the same solution works gread. however from my experience this converting stuf highly depends on the tv. (best wil alwys be if u have the opsion to ged a tv from the time the consle was in active store sells for the Game Cube wii can easely stil ged cheaper model of early LCD TV's Becose the witescreen might stretch and mes up the experince on newer tv's)

Was these cheap hdmi dongle only composite to hdmi? Then component would be better. And this scart to hdmi is not better. I would prefer a ossc

How do we make this HDMI converter actually display 16:9 screen ratio because it’ll have the 4:3 standard size but the ratio doesn’t stretch to 16:9 screen ratio

Which brand is this? I got one thatlooks similar and it doesn't work very well, it flickers and goes black often.

You need to get one with the rounded sides (__) not the one with the flat sides L__I on Alli express it's the same prise. If you go on the site under (Wii to HMD) I it's the one with the most sales and also mentions this in the review comments. Hope that helps.

I have the Mayflash version of this on my hacked Wii. I found it outputs a better quality signal than the Wii U does. Stopped playing Wii games with my Wii U after I purchased this.

You can do 2 things. 1. Get the Mayflash .. video coming soon you see difference in signal. 2. Adjust your tv / monitor ?

I got one for my newphews acouple of years ago and it works great, so great in fact I got one for my ps2 but it's not as good and for some reason if I have the usb power plugged into it, like your supposed to, it has audio problems.

Bought the dongle for maybe 6 months ago but never got it to work, because I can't connect the wii with the old cables. Any guide for how to do it "in the dark"? What directions and button presses without seeing what I am doing?

Yes it supports audio over HDMI. 😄

the converter has a jack connection, if I don't connect anything to it, the audio will still be heard on the TV or I will necessarily need an external speaker (my TV is so "smart" that it doesn't have a jack connection)

I don't get it. This is PRECISELY what I need. Why TH does it have to be so cheap, why don't they make exactly this dongle but 4 times more expensive? I would easily pay extra for 4k upscaling and more premium quality. I just don't get it. Component cables of decent quality is at least 15 dollars and the cheapest and useable Retrotink 2x pro is 120 dollars. Why is it either that OR this super cheap dongle. Why not a premium dongle just like this but for 70 dollars with 4k upscaling and denoise filter and non-trash quality?

I just got this in the mail today and got it set up and I have black bars on the sides of my tv I changed the picture to stretch and it gets rid of them but I feel like it worsens the image is there any other way around this?

Mine works no problem, however the colour is horrible. You can’t tell the difference between blue, yellow, orange and purple. The only prominent colour is red. I’ve changed my resolution but that doesn’t help. I don’t know what to do :(

I bought one of those and it made my Wii stop working completely. I'm gonna try another one and see what happens, but if it happens again I'll buy a completely different adapter. Tip: the RCA to HDMI in the same size as this one is a scam, it has never worked.

Did you set the aspect ratio and resolution to the right format ? Otherwise check tv settings.
