The red rock desert surrounding Moab, Utah is a harsh and barren landscape that only the toughest creatures thrive in. It is a place of surreal beauty, unlike anywhere else in the world. For these reasons, we return to Moab year after year to thoroughly and systematically beat the life out of our bikes. Moab is our proving ground - our worst line choice, wheel smashing, tire obliterating, backyard amusement park.
Known to literally disintegrate tires from the sheer force of cornering, Luke Strobel has played an integral part in testing, developing, and bombproofing the latest M Series. For the final test, it’s Luke against 27.5 miles and 8000 feet of descending on the iconic Whole Enchilada. A battle of attrition for both bike and body, from the peaks of the mighty La Sal Mountains, through four ecologically diverse climates, finishing at the Colorado River.

Wow, what a film. Was fortuate enough to do a full WE run back in August of '20 and this brings back some memories. Ride of a lifetime and this fim captures the essence of the The Whole Enchilada.
Since there's been a lot of requests for the song at the beginning of the video we decided to upload the soundtrack. The first song was composed for this video exclusively by Micah Dahl Anderson. I've seen many fantastic MTB videos, including great ones of Moab. This, by far, takes the cake! Amazing cinematography, after watching I almost booked a plane ticket right there!

That was so awesome! I loved it. I just came back from riding the whole enchilada. Certainly, I was not as graceful as Luke. In fact, at the end of the ride I had to be rushed to the ER to get 3 quarts of fluid. Something tells me that Luke got 3 quarts of margaritas and woke up the next day and did it again! You guys make the best wheels on the planet!

This video inspired me to head to Moab this weekend with my bro and homies! Rode the "WE" for the first time yesterday and as we rode into town along the river i couldnt help but smile thinking about eating an enchilada HA HA. One of the best days Ive had on a MTB ever. Such a killer edit! Just rode TWE for the first time a few weeks ago and it was a riot! Wish I could get up there at the beginning of the season so Burro Pass and Hazard County are in good shape. Those two trails were so insanely blown out it was like motos had been riding them the entire summer. Sure made the rocky descents even more gnarly to tackle. What a ride!? That road gap into Kokopelli is sweet! We tried scoping it out but had no idea how you got the speed for it, haha. Maybe when the trail isn't 4 inches of moon dust you can actually carry speed into that road, lol.

Did 3/4 enchilada a few weeks ago. Experience of a lifetime.
After having just done the WE today, it was a treat watching an expert rider slaying it. Him jumping the road was my favorite part. A sensible and strong intermediate definitely can do it. Being prepared in every way is mandatory.

@@spitupstars Oh yeah, it would be pretty bumpy on a hardtail! My youngest son (29) and I go every fall. Heading out in a week. I'm 68....I expect I still have a couple of trips left in me!

I ran the Whole Enchilada last July on a Motobecane Fantom 29er. I'm a 270 pound dude and no flats or bike damage. Best bike u can buy for the cost. I'd never pay more than 2 grand for a mountain bike as long as I have options like Motobecane. The way I see it, if I want a bike that cost $7,000 I'd just rather go buy a dirtbike or Quad. My bike cost only $1,600 with hydrolic disc brakes, RockShox Monarch full suspension, 22 speed drive train. Works just fine for me. Rode it down the Barr Trail off Pikes Peak the summer before.
What do you think, a week to do all the filming? Nice twist at the end with the band and the enchilada.
This is some great shooting and editing and really captures what that trail is like. I could do with less less tires and drive-train closeups.

He could have done it all on The Following as well. Some sections would have had to be done slower with more finesse, but it could have been done all the same. Great video!

El Charro Loco; says in the end credits. That place is delish. I hit it up after every Moab trip. It's on the South end of town.

It comes with the ticket to ride TWE. I hate having to wash my gloves at the end of every ride there.

Never been to El Charro Loco but I can say that Miguel’s Baja Grill is a damn good Mexican restaurant. It’s in downtown Moab.
The end was the Fiesta Mexicana band and food.
