The White Stripes - Boll Weevil at Union Square
In 2002 The White Stripes played a free concert at New York's Union Square. As they were getting ready to play their last song, their microphones were cut off. Jack frowns for a second, puts his hands on his hips , Meg looks at him and laughs, they then proceed to perform the song a Capella.

I was there!!! There was such a buzz about these guys at this time. I was really impressed the way he ended this show with this acapella version of Boll Weevil. He could have just shrugged and walked off stage when they cut the power but instead he made a powerful moment out of it. There were a couple thousand people there that day (it felt like) and I'm sure we all walked away with a smile. Thanks, J & M.
