The whistling troopie (Troopie songs)

Музыка

Hear the bird; his song is there even in times of hardship…..JE
I once entertained young soldiers in a forward base between Wankie and Msuna Mouth on the Zambezi River. When I tried to get them to sing along with me, I found that the majority of these crack troops were tone deaf, so I made them whistle along in the choruses. This song has now become my own personal theme song.

You know how they say, everything has a beginning and an end, but as long as you remember, it never dies. Rhodesia would have set a dangerous precedent by showing, especially to other countries in Africa, what a well managed african country could become. In my opinion that's why, during the cold war, it was battled against by both west (on the political level) and east (on the military one). And what's worse, is that the whole thing has been marketed as an emancipation war. Which is fun if you think about it, because today, in 2021, we're seeing a lot of stuff being phased out or heavily rearranged in the name of equality.

Thank You John for waking Me and opening My eye’s , ear’s , mind and heart to the cause and history of Rhodesia. As a patriotic American I am saddened by My Country’s indifference to the Cause of Rhodesia. There is not enough space to tell how proud I am of all Who fought against communist subjugation and manipulation of Native peoples and those who strove so long and hard to bring truly meaningful and benevolent Governance and rights to everyone in Rhodesia and South Africa. If That Handsome guy in the Video is Your Son , You must Be proud of Him. You had Mentioned in another video how Your daughter influenced Your music and As a fan I am grateful for that and proud of Her as well. I am a Father and Grandfather Myself . One Son made a career in the Army as a Special Forces Doctor and all of them are musically and artistically inclined to greater or lesser degrees in different ways. One of My Daughters has a Belgian Malinois and is training it like a police dog to protect and identify scents. She is also a very good , successful canine and feline psychologist. I am another who holds rhodesian Vets and the Families that kept the home fires burning in high esteem.

Wow, no kidding. He's the only celebrity I care about, probably because he represents something that has been sadly lost to history but will never truly die out: the Rhodesian spirit that many of us so admire. Apparently he owns a resort lodge in SA, Kunkuru I think it's called. I wonder if you could meet him there?

Thanks for Your kind reply John. Songs like The Whistling Troopie and You Ain’t No Hero, I believe should be taught and sung in schools around the world. Kids need good role models . They are heavily influenced and want to identify with the music , film and other entertainment they experience. We can raise good kids and protect them only so much. They will mingle with others especially in school who if not also raised properly can tempt them into corruption. You are to Rhodesia South Africa and perhaps soon the World what Steven Foster was to America in the times leading up to and including the American Civil War. I love all Your Song’s and Music . As a Hunter and Gun enthusiast who likes collecting and shooting old Military Arms , muzzle loader’s etc. all that History and Your tracking video are of great interest and enjoyment. Again all Your creations are excellent ,Rhodesian School Day’s and Rhoadie Cologne can get anyone to reminiscing about old times and friends.
