I'm really impressed with your editing and the video! Your quality of writing, editing, and over-all presentation is great for such a low number of subs. I loved this game so much back when it first came out and I still replay it on occasion. Thanks for the great review!

Nice editing at the beginning where opening doors, jumps and the various projectiles match the music, it flows very well.

One of the titles i grew up with. Without this, Hexen and Diablo i would simply not be the same person. Replaying it today is flawed as f*ck, imbalanced and clunky..but it still has one of the best atmospheres

Hehe, the music was later used for a Wheel of Time tribute album...which was absolutely HATED by fans :P

Hey one thing that might help your channel is adding a playlist with all of your stuff from first to last. It seems to help the algorithm get people into a loopwatch. Your stuff is great dude, hope you're doing well :)

Thanks for the review, don't know much about game and books and reviews in gaming magazines didn't help to explain much - mostly compared to this and that. For someone who didn't play anything - it don't say much... I'll try to find soundtrack and the game, out of curiosity. Another Unreal Engine 1 game that comes with the editor and no fan-made projects, almost like Deus Ex...

The soundtrack is actually already on the disc, you can just copy the files from the music folder, although they're probably not as high quality as the official soundtrack available from Magna Carta records (e.g. you can hear distortion in the credits track I used for the opening). Unfortunately, the game itself itself isn't on GoG or Steam, and according to Glen Dahlgren probably never will, due to how convoluted the legal rights are.

@@mostlydead3261 not that much considering cult-classic status One massive (TNM) few big ones (Red Sun 2020, 2027 etc) and some small missions for 5h top. That's quite underwhelming to say the least...

Oddly enough, even though I couldn't care less about Jordan's writing (frankly I can't stand it), I really like this game. It's a fantastic showcase of what the original Unreal Engine could pull off, and the game has such a delightfully thick atmosphere steeped in those high quality late-90s graphics that I'm so fond of. Most of the criticism here is well-founded, but it's a great game nonetheless IMO.

Wheel of time was an FPS? I confused this game with... like... Arcanum or something like that. Weird. I don't think I've even seen this game before just heard the name several times.

I think it works with the fanmade patch/wrappers but I'm not 100% certain. Now it's on GoG you could try asking in the forums, e.g. www.gog.com/forum/the_wheel_of_time/3dfx_glide_or_direct3d_which_is_best_to_go_for

that intro was so long I died waiting for it to finish , just like the author and the series. :D sorry I had to take the piss. Did not know this even existed.

If Jordan didnt like the project, there probably wasnt enough bashing of males.

That's more the TV series than the books. In the books, he bashed both genders pretty hard. That's an opinion of course. Here's another; he had a simplistic and negative fixation on gender.

Na Pali expansion and unreal 2 are some of the shitiest games in the Unreal universe though...
