The West's Net Zero madness is fuelling mass third world immigration | Interview

“We are seeing vast amounts of immigration, we're seeing people from Latin America who are moving to the States. We're seeing people from Africa who want to come to Europe. They're in search of jobs for their families. They're in search of economic prosperity that we have here. And the way to reduce these immigration pressures is to have more reliable energy there.”
Is Net Zero destroying our energy capacity? Are we in an energy cold war? To discuss, The Telegraph’s Steven Edginton is joined by the economist Diana Furchtgott-Roth of the Heritage Foundation who has served in every Republican administration since Ronald Reagan. “Tipping Points”! One tipping point after another and each one critical. It’s laughable.

If it is powered by nuclear or solar [good chance if it’s a hot day] then its use is insignificant to climate.

It's a relief to sometimes here such reasoned argument as to why the whole net-zero thing is pointless, will hardly effect any climate change, and will cause a great deal of damage to economies around the world.

3:12 "Wind and solar re only producing 5% of the worlds electricity"? Wrong. In 2022 wind and solar counted for more than 12%, and each year it is getting more. In some countries it counted for 100% in some months. In 2022 renewables counted for 30% of the worlds electricity.

But why remove energy sources that we depend upon? This is as retarded as being vegan or a meat eater only. Why would we deprive ourselves of a form of energy? It's privileged, luxury thinking. Starving people don't become meat only because they would die from lack of energy.

I can only assume she means wind and solar separately which is roughly correct taking the constraints of the Ember report into account

What about the hyper-consumption madness we see everywhere, shouldnt we find a way to curb that? I dont believe the pursuit of conspicuous consumption is whats fuling migration as much as desertification and war, which might be more climate change related than some imagine.

She does need to update on science like CO2 saturation as stated by Pro Will Happer. Also growing more trees throughout the world woul literally self devour the CO2 and give us oxygen. An are the size of Australia is what is needed.China are planting millions of trees but if they switched from coal to gas. That would like America. Reduce CO2 by 50%. They need to frack if they can.
