I agree. He’s evolved his art form and it’s lovely to see. I’m proud of him. I still love balloons the most (kiss land and after hours are a close second) but I love seeing his growth as an artist. Even if you don’t rock with everything he does, you can give him his credit that he’s still doing something new with his style

It really is. It's so well thought out and sincere. Honestly it's been therapy for me. To me it seems like... Dawn fm is a purgatory to exist in until you learn it's lessons. Like Jim says at the end. "Heavens for those who let go of regret and you have to wait here while you're not there yet but you could be by the end of this song." And "you have to be heaven to see heaven" After years of depression and addictions I think I'm starting to finally tune out of dawn fm. And I hope people listening can too.

Absolutely perfection of an album. Full of 80’s vibes with a major hint of Michael Jackson influence. As always in The Weeknd’s music, NO SKIPS. With the help of the charismatic DJ, Jim Carrey, this album has it all. Personally, this album was at the right time for me. Less than Zero hit me in my heart. Dawn FM is that little light you see in the distance. And how do we not talk about the beauty in his transitions from song to song, with the use of Jim and beautiful synths. 10 out of 10 for me.

I don't know how to write fan mail. And never have I wanted to write fan mail before. Abel if you ever read this (which I doubt) but I owe you my life. I listen to Dawn FM every single day and every night before I go to bed I start with A tale by Quincey and keep it moving. I believe Dawn Fm dropped in January last year. The following month my mother died unexpectedly and I lost my house and eventually I felt like I was losing my mind. My daughter was just a few months old and Id carry her and sing Is there someone else everyday together. She loves it now lol. After a while I developed Psychosis and was hallucinating. Dawn FM at that point was the only thing that kept me grounded. I eventually attempted suicide in September and again Dawn FM has been the only comfort for me lately. I just wanted to say Thank you Abel I empathize with your past and this album hits me everyday to my core. Phantom regret by Jim completely tears me down. This album is pure art I hope the universe blesses you with continued prosperity and a long life.

It was actually mentioned that they wouldn’t be able to sell physical copies until later dates, but he stated that it doesn’t matter to him. It’s just his message of giving introverts those voices that they’ve been seeking what he truly cares for, as well as just giving back to his fans, that’s what makes him so special. 🖤🌅

It’s like he flipped himself inside out to show the ugly interior so many people try to hide while he embraces it and uses it to try n change.

I think it's really amazing, how much this album is more a listening experience than just a line-up of great songs. You can fairly, and easily say that "Starboy" has more hits, but I highly appreciate how this album sets you into a unique mood and you can't stop listening until you've reached that blissful embrace of feeling free.

I've been listening to him since 2012 (when the mixtapes were free to download off of his website) and love all his work. Having said that, After hours and Dawn FM are the most like the OG mixtapes in the sense that the albums flow into each other and have a unified, dark theme in the lyrics. I feel as though they represent how he's feeling at that time, therefore much more personal. OG fans will love these types of projects while they may be too esoteric for the bandwagoners and critics.

I hear you all the way.. Artists have a unique way of telling for real what's on their heart uncovered.. That's a true artist!

This man is the only artist I’ve been obsessed with for years in my musical journey. There’s honestly no one else like him doing what he does. Purely for the love of music and story telling. No one is touching this level of creative thinking today. Not even the top “pop” stars. This album probably isn’t even his best yet. I have this underlying feeling the next one is gonna be more mind blowing and addictive. He’s got such a formula down and I bet he knows it but also doesn’t hence the fact he experiments. I don’t hear any other artists pulling from basically 10+ genres like he is

I have listened to this album on repeat day after day after day and I do not get sick of it. It’s sonic perfection

The Final Jim Carrey speech left me speechless. Seeing Abel standing by while he stares at the void reminiscing, just fills my heart with empathy and compassion. I have met the young man made up to look old. It is all theatre & great art. It´s good to be alive in ❤ with this great young artist. In fact I am in heaven.

The entire album was incredible. Amazing theming and messaging. Songs went from dark to brighter as he ascended into the light (died). Jim Carey’s narration was perfect and tied everything up nicely. Transitions were also 10/10.

No he arleady died in after hours. He said in an interview that he imagines the purgatory like a busy road, where the people drive toward the light (After life, his next album) and in their car there is a Radio station who guides them (Dawn FM). This is a trilogy, he died in After Hours, now he's in purgatory (Dawn FM) and then there is the AfterLife.

I’m still playing this album everyday. It helped get me through some tough moments last year. It’s definitely in my all time top ten albums.

This is The weeknd's best album.

honestly and sincerely the weeknd is one of the few artists we have today that can make music feel like an experience, not just music, a true experience

this album is so incredible and lowkey so underrated. this was the most listened album in my apple music recap for 2022. i know every single word to every single song. this album is just amazing and i always get chills at the beginning on the dawn fm intro such a great album

I listen to this whole album twice a day. I’m in love with his music and the poetry at the end gets me in my feelings.

Dawn FM could be a nice addition to GTA radio stations

Transitions from Best friends - Is there someone else - Starry eyes is PERFECTION. I like Is there someone else to starry eyes, its flawless

Truly one of the best albums of the year...it has seen me through good times and very bad times... there is a magic in Dawn FM that makes me feel "safe" or in a safe zone, Abel really put his heart into this album and I will be forever grateful to him, since he is one of my biggest musical and visual inspirations. XO

The Weeknd is definitely one of the most creative, fascinating artists of the last 10 years or so. I love how he takes 1980s R&B, pop and new wave and puts his own spin on those genres. Watching this, I'd love to turn the clock back 25 years and be in this "club" dancing along with the crowd!

I've been dealing with anxiety and in order to ease my emotions I listen to this and it helps me a lot because I am able to control it, I just love to close my eyes and listen to it on a high volume over and over. Please keep making more music like this. ❤

Serious suicide rates, mental illness with antidepressants being the worlds most taken medication, world hunger and increasing poverty, scary technology, out of control social media, severe loneliness, unemployment up, 996, World Order at risk, authoritarians, world drug addiction, addiction full stop, domestic violence up since lockdowns, masks, depersonalisation, big brother…. Take me back to the ‘80s and “90s!! PLEASE! It wasn’t perfect but it was great on so many levels. Especially music!!! ♥️

@@Foogi9000 the 2010s were amazing until 2017 😂 the music was amaaazzzinnngggg and had truly original sounds. I like that the weeknd is bringing back the sounds of the 80's, but i really do put originality and liking/interest (i can't find the word for it right now) at the top of my list for what makes a decade stand out when it comes to music.
