Even though I'm not a DA voter I'm inclined to believe that the successes in Cape Town metro and rural Mngeni involving Hill-Lewis & Pappas speaks loudly and can't be denied. On the ground evidence surely (albeit subtle) must filter through the bush telegraph and so inclined people to put their trust in this 'new' government (assuming you're right). I too am hopeful.

The opposite example of what has happened when the ANC/EFF/PA created a coalition in Knysna, destroying that municipality in 18 month. Imagine if the RET faction ANC/MKP/EFF had a coalition what they would have done to SA. Let's hope this ANC/DA works and gets rid of corruption.

He longs to bless South Africa but both the church and the people have rejected Him once again in their voting for parties that appose God's good and moral principles - homosexuality and abortion being the issues embraced by these offending parties.

We can therefore have this GNU going on and on even beyond 2029. They will just swap positions depending on which party has majority. Even if party A has majority, it can give presidency a party B, simple because votes they get, they get from a "collective effort"

The ANC is their own biggest enemy... started with a solid 60% support in 1994, governed well for 15 years, then kicked out Mbeki and brought in Zuma. Then started falling in support thru in-fighting and poor governance. Today most of the break-aways call themselves progressive black forces, but they have weakened their power thru splinter parties from the broad church ANC... very foolish moves...

I am a capitalist but I cannot vouch for 50% of the population living on less than USD1 per day. You say that nonsense cause you don't live like that. I don't think everyone in this country wants to be rich but dignity will suffice. Apartheid capitalism was enforced through barriers I.e Banta education, job reservation, least cost per unit of labour through the enforcement of migrant labour policies. No. Off the mark. ANC idiology, as accepted by the party, and ratified at every policy conference, supported by every top member. Every policy, every idea, everything is towards socialism. As Frans Cronje says, you meet resistance, you step back, regroup, wait, try again in various other ways until you achieve the desired outcome. As usual, shit analysis from you... They have not changed... the ideologues have not left, they have not adopted a new set of policies. The FMF and IRR warned, for this exact reason. If the Commies need to wait another 5 or 10 years, so be it. But nothing has changed.

This is a bizarre analysis of the situation, the ANC has never been a homogenous whole, singing the same tune. There are moderates, conservatives and radical leftists within the party. In any case the reality is South African politics have dramatically changed in the last few weeks. This is not the same country and to think the same is plotting a return in 10 years when their future as a party hangs in the balance and is completely uncertain is being deeply ignorant and mistaken.
