These videos help mentally prepare me for how much work parenting is going to be....and I'm here for it. Thank you Jake and Brad!

It is scary accurate ... and I hate to be that chick, but it is so, so worth it. I mean, I'm looking forward to being able to wear nice clothes again someday and not finding a moldy bottle of spilled milk under the seat in my car and my son does wake up at 4am 2-3 times a week and never goes back to sleep ... but my kids are the best. It is a joy being a mom. A messy, badly-dressed joy. :) (And fwiw, my kids love the farmer's market.)

@elladeon Thank you! It's always encouraging to hear from parents that it's rewarding and worth all of the lost sleep and chaos. That's what I keep telling myself (it's still a ways off for me), but it's nice to hear people confirm that!

@@Mimiofmemes it's not that it's not rough, it's that all the roughness is building toward something. It's like training to run a marathon - yeah, it sucks to get up at 5am every day and kill your body, but you are doing it for a purpose, and it's beautiful. That's how it is with kids. Yeah, it sucks I can't have my "old single life" - but I have a new life with new wonder and joy and enthusiasm, and it is also beautiful in a different way. I really hope you get to be a dad one day. I mean, enjoy brunch and nice clothes and sleep while you can. :) But then be a dad and have a new beautiful life.

@elladeon I'm a father of 3 boys. Five, two, and a newborn, it's the greatest thing in the world being a parent. Yes, of course there are tough times, but man those hugs and watching them grow, the laughs, the silly jokes, I see why God calls them a blessing.

You guys are sooooo good at what you do. Jake is hilarious when he puts on that self-satisfied smile and Brad is amazing anytime he portrays a regular guy challenged by life just trying to squeak by.
