Had a flashback to seeing this in the theater with one of my big brothers. We had an epic kung-fu fight when we got off the bus near home. For a moment, we were the most lethal 6 & 9 year old kids around. When I was much older (10), I saved up and bought a Bruce Lee poster - all stills from The Way of the Dragon: Bruce in the middle getting ready for round 2 in the colosseum fight scene, with smaller stills from the movie all around the outside. Love that campy 70s vibe - just wonder how far Bruce could have gone. (I'm pretty sure at age 82, as he would be today, he could still kick Brad Pitt's butt without breaking a sweat/that's a call out to once upon a time in hollywood - fyi)

Why does she tell Bruce Lee not to " bother himself" when the whole thrust of the film is to rid the cafe of the mobsters who are hassling them? ! Its about the only time he has the crime boss in a psition to do exactly what they want.....still, best not to think too much about it and just watch it for what it is, a cracking piece of Bruce Lee action from a man long gone and badly missed.

its bad translation, but also in chinese culture its best not to cause trouble i.e if someone’s bullying you just leave it as small troubles will just lead to more trouble, sad the chinese dont stand up enough for themselves, because china has been bullied through the centuries. if its not the manchus its mongols/japanese/british/americans etc

The “Ah Lung, don’t bother yourself” was originally Chen telling him that the boss can’t understand what Tang Lung is saying (a major plot point is that Lung can’t speak English, but because this dub is entirely in English, this issue is totally lost so they just put _something_ there so that Chen’s mouth was not moving without her saying anything).

Yes. He just communicated his threat visually because it was the only way that Jon Benn's boss character could understand.
