man, if Bruce Lee were to live to complete this film, i think this film would top "Enter The Dragon". This film was to show case his philosophy, his art and his style of "Jeet Kun Do" a way of an intercepting fist. A style of no style that can adapt to his opponent. this would be one of the greatest film of all time. dang! we missed Bruce Lee a lot. RIP master Bruce Lee.

​@@pablo9364yes I thought so too. Knowledge vs ignorance. Light vs the dark. Same way real Bruce vs his pride/ignorance. But yeah with the technology at that time, it wouldn't have been possible to create such a scene, unless they casted someone as his body double. But the main issue with that would've been, nobody would've looked as ripped as Lee so it would've been obvious to the audience that it's somebody else and thus they would've failed to generate any impact.

I remember the day I went with my friends to the theater to see this movie. The discipline in the fighting is amazing. I can remember all of it as if I just walked out of the theater. One of my better days that day.

My aunt didn't believe me when I said before 1976 I knew who BL was because of watching the movies they had on TV at the time they had some Chinese Kung Fu ones on which was watching it on a black and white TV. But I still knew. Vancouver BC has a lot of Chinese and these films before he passed away.

I'm also from Vancouver (well born and raised in Burnaby) so I'm familiar with what you are saying. While you were watching Bruce on TV I had already seen Fists of Fury, Chinese Connection, and Return of the Dragon in movie theatres down in that part of Van. I saw Enter the Dragon at Lougheed Mall back when it had its 3 theatres. All before I was 11 (I'm now soon pushing 60). Like you I'm a life long fan and admirer of Bruce who's style and philosophical outlooks have had a profound influence on who I am today. After he died and Linda brought him back to Seattle for burial my parents drove down to pay our respects. At that time there was just a small plaque on the ground. Over the years I have been to Seattle 7 or 8 times always making a point of stopping at Lakeview Cemetery to say Hello and Thank-you to Bruce and am glad to see his final place of rest has become a shrine much more fitting to a man like Bruce and his son. Stay cool Firefly and always remember 'Be Water'. The ability to adapt to any situation is one of the most important skills to learn in this world.

Incorrect. The strength and athleticism is shown in a 'choreographed dance'. No 'fight' ever took place. This was skilled artistry for young boys to watch and enjoy, and nothing more.

I've already seen it 300 or 400 times ... but it still impresses me! Master of masters. Rest in Peace Bruce Lee! The GREATEST for all Eternity!👊🏻👍🏻💪🏻

A superb showcase of Lee's abilities and transcendent combat philosophy. Bruce is the GOAT, always has been and likely always will be. Game of Death was the most challenging achievement of Lee's career.Unfortunately Bruce never lived to see the complete version of his artistic vision come to life on the silver screen.Without a doubt it clearly demonstrates how he evolved as a martial artist and film maker.Had he lived he would have been an incredible director in addition to being a martial arts legend.

Tony Jaa, Chiba Shinichi, v.v.v.v. are even more talented than Bruce was. The thing is, what Bruce had was more than just fighting skills.

@@hanglong8056 Saenchai is a professional Muay Thai fighter. I agree, nobody is invincible, there’s always at least one person out there that can beat you. They don’t even have to be famous. I’m just responding to what he said, that Bruce was the fastest and most powerful. Saenchai has the best speed to power ratio ever, there’s no competition. He’s about the same size as Bruce but throws his punches and kicks about twice as fast and twice as powerful. He’s one of the fastest guys to ever fight, period. That’s his hallmark. Some fighters are know for just their power, or their kicks, their head movement. Bruce was known for his philosophy. Saenchai is known for super human speed and cat like reflexes, which makes him seem even faster than he is

Bruce Lee, Tony Jaa or anybody else...they all can't fight guys who play dirty on the street. I am a Bruce Lee's fan, but what you said is correct. Martial arts means Bruce Lee And.🥋 Bruce Lee means Martial arts. No words for such a great man. Imagine if Bruce Lee was alive till now. How many of great action movies, we would have get to see.🧐

I believe this is Bruce's finest fight choreography.... the nunchaka battle with Dan Inosanto is really wicked with blinding speed on both sides. Ironically its my understanding that Dan Inosanto taught Bruce the nunchaka Bruce expanded on it adding his flare and speed to the mix. Of all the times Bruce utilized the nunchuks this one I feel takes top honors with the Chinese connection coming in second ....that fight with the Japanese wielding a samurai blocking Bruce's attempted blows with the nunchuks was phenomenal. But game of death was excellent nunchaka fight

What gets me is the Chuck Norris memes. I saw Norris one day at a Casino in Lake Charles Louisiana. 5 tall women got out of the Limousine. I couldn't even see Norris. He was literally 5 feet tall with boots on. The dude couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag.

A documentary of Bruce's life incorperating these fight scenes would have been more than enough for his fans and a far better tribute to this man's achievements than what they did to Finnish this movie. Thank goodness he completed Enter the Dragon.

Mesmerizing...Bruce lee. I'm 52 now, but I still get glued to the screen - just as I was, seeing him for the first time as a 10 year old ! None so graceful, stylish or fast !! Legend.....miss you sir !!

I grew up on all the Bruce Lee flicks. The end footage was just a metaphor. Bruce Lee fought his inner demons and him and his Brandon will be legends forever

This is actually perfect as it is!! These 39 min, It actually feels like smthing that wud happen to you after death, you're stuck in a limbo and fighting your way out of it.. climbing your way up, trying sm way to get out and whenever you think it's over, a voice outside shouts that it's not over yet! A dream like sequence with no beginning or the end.. isn't it just perfect?? Rest in peace, bruce. It actually didn't need any dialogues, they did gud even with their body language and mannerisms. Also the music sucked.. it was too loud n out of place, whoever added it.

Even uncompleted it is still better than most martial arts movies that I’ve seen 💯

I’ll never understand why they didn’t use this footage in the movie they released. This is so much better.

I really love his vintage adidas yellow shoe so much 😮❤ fashion icon too

@@marlasota This fight scene was full of spit. In real life there is no way that a 5'7 inch 135 pound midget could beat a 7'1 245 pound monster athlete like Jabbar no matter how skilled he was at fighting. 🤕👎

@@pablo9364 It depends on the tall person that you are fighting. If he knows how to use his reach as Buster Douglas did against the much shorter Mike Tyson there is nothing that the smaller guy can do but lose.9 times out of 10 the big man always beats the little man.

Lowkey, imagine if bruce didn’t die and finished his version of “game of death” guaranteed it would have been a hell of a movie.

Od mog djetinjstva volim Bruce Lee.Gledala sam svaki njegov film.Bila sam smjesna dečkima,ali kada je u kino bio njegov film,to je bilo uzbuđenje cijeli dan.Skupljao se džeparac da se može gledati.Najdrazi mi je U ZMAJEVOM GNIJEZDU.Bruce Lee never died.

This is a lot better than the 1978 version.

Man... When I was a kid, I had no idea how amazing Bruce really was. Anybody that's done MMA can see he had speed, quick thinking, adaptability and strength and so many other skills that you don't see in pro MMA fighters. I had no idea this guy was the real deal. Truly a mythical creature.

Uma pena que o mestre não viveu para concluir esta obra. Bem diferente da versão editada. Achei muito bacana a participação dos outros atores que deram um tom cômico à obra.

That was Lee's real martial arts philosophy, at least when it came to the physical...protecting your self at all cost. Lee understood the concept of real street fighting. If you encounter a guy who is 6 feet, 5 inches and a whopping 300 pounds, you do whatever you have to do to protect your "LIFE." That's how Bruce Lee envisioned every possible street fight--you may have to fight to the death. Unfortunately, many people have died in street fights because they never considered the cost of life.

How fitting the lost footage is of Bruce's hardest, most grueling fights ever

Dan Insatos face when Bruce pulled out the nunchucks was priceless. He truly was and always will be Bruce’s number one student and loved him dearly. Even when you see the interviews with Dan you can see that has lived with him for over 50 years.

They should have tried to incorporate this whole footage into Game of Death

I have seen several cuts of this missing footage, and this is by far the most complete. Especially in the wide shots we're James Tien and the other fighter are seen watching the fight. I really love this and it is really sad to think this film was not completed because it would have been his best work. I would also advise everyone to watch man from Hong Kong with Jimmy Wang Yu and George Lazenby. Once you see George fight in that film you will know why Bruce wanted him for Game of Death..
