In Taranto, the children started the "The wave of the future" procession, organized by various associations and movements of the anti-Ilva front. Dressed in costumes reminiscent of sea creatures, they showed solidarity with the request for the closure of the plant and the economic reconversion of the territory. The activists displayed banners and shouted slogans against the institutions, guilty, in their opinion, of having neglected the health and environmental emergency, allowing the survival of a plant that no longer produces and which represents a danger to health and employment precarious situation of the city. The associations involved reiterated the need to definitively get rid of the blackmail represented by heavy industry in the Taranto area.
