With good health, the 2022 Dubs could be the greatest team of all time. Kuminga and Wiseman are monsters in development. If they improve enough to secure rotation status, woe to the league. Curry will lose nothing, Poole might be even better, Wiggins will be solidifying the jump to all star status. Can anyone imagine a 16 - 0 playoff run?
2015 ring - "just got lucky. they won because Kyrie and Love were injured. he isn't even the Finals MVP" (proceeded to win 73 games. won MVP unanimously. set a record of 402 3s proving a point that his team is legit but unfortunately blowing a 3-1 lead in the Finals) 2018 rockets - "they won because CP3 was injured" (dismantled a fully healthy rockets team in 6 games in 2019 despite being depleted in the last 2 games. get to the Finals but lost to Toronto Raptors) 2021 Lilliard - "Curry will struggle coz he doesn't have a stacked roster and KD this time" (proceeded to score 62 pts on them and averaged 32 pts a game with teammates still learning the system and whatnot. Carried them to 8th seed but lost in the play-in) 2022 - still full of doubters. "can't carry a team. washed. won't get to the finals. can't perform in the Finals," etc. (proceeded to break the record for all-time three-point record. put a show in the All-Star Game with 16 3s and won the MVP award. won Magic Johnson MVP award in WCF. Get to the Finals and won in 6 games and won Finals MVP erasing all the narrative) WHAT ARE THEY GONNA SAY NOW?

Curry's offensive game and influence is unmatched and he has cemented himself as a top 15 and almost cemented top 10 player of all time, but it's worth noting that he was able to do what he did with the second greatest shooter of all time and the most versatile defender of our generation. When he didn't have them, he didn't win anything. 2021 without him and 2022 with him (even tho he was inconsistent) proved that klay's impact may just be as important as curry's, hence why they couldn't make the play in without him. Curry's floor raising ability isn't as good as like a russ or a harden in their primes (imo) but anybody would rather choose curry to team up with and win a title. We'll never know what these player's careers would be like if they switched spots, but hey life isn't fair.

@@nathanielpotts2556 When he didn't have them he was dealing with his own injuries (2009-12, 2020) or leading the league in scoring (2021), similar to Kobe's years without Shaq. What exactly is he supposed to win without them? What did Lebron win without: - A top 3 SG all time and a top tier PF in Miami? - Top 5 PG today and another top tier PF in Cleveland? - Arguably most versatile big of all time in LA? -Jordan without Pippen -Kareem without Oscar/Magic -Shaq without Kobe/Wade -Kobe without Gasol/Odom I can go on. We've seen these consensus top 10 players all time play without adequate help, and in every scenarios, they didn't win. What's makes Steph different? Not to mention Klay shot the worst of his career in this year's Finals - far from a top 2 shooter performance, and Draymond played horribly the first 4 games. Didn't hold Curry back in the slightest. Also, if you put Russ or Harden in that spot, it's an entirely different offense. They need the ball in their hands to be most dangerous. Steph is most dangerous moving off ball, along with his teammates. Its a near perfect flow of ball/player movement to create open shots. Team basketball at its finest, and that, along with great team defense, (something Curry gives more effort than Russ and Harden in), is why they win. What are they gonna say now?

@@anf9311 lol lebron went to the finals on two different occasions with make a wish kids on his roster. Or did we just forget 2007 and 2018 (11 year difference btw if u can't add) never happened. All great players need a great team around them to win it all, even lebron, but lebron (i never brought him up but anyway) was always able to make more with less better than any other player ever, hence why i think he's the greatest of all time. Lebron was so good that he could never get adequate help in the draft because they were in the late round every year since his 3rd season in the league. But again, I'm not trying to take anything away from steph, but i also believe people are putting steph in discussions he doesn't belong. I already said that harden and russ are better floor raisers imo but steph is the player u can insert in any situation and win a chip with since he doesn't need the rock to influence the game. In 2021, however, klay not being there forced steph to go into god mode and although he put up crazy mvp-type numbers, his floor without klay only went up to not even making the playoffs because he's not and never has been a plus defender (not a liability but teams head hunt him for a reason). So, even when he's putting up 30, he's also giving up that much too. Furthermore, even when klay was bricking, he has that effect like steph where even if they're trash, their influence is so immense that they still open up the offense for other people. I'm happy for curry for finally getting the fmvp he deserves, for he had to carry the load when his counterparts were selling, although he has always had a luxury of not showin up and still winning throughout his career (such as game 5 this very series)

@@SM-vx6zq thank you that is so true. There’s no doubt Kevin Love is a better player individually but the Cavs really only used him as a catch and shoot player and never used him to his true potential because Lebron and Kyrie needed to touch the ball every play. Bogut was vital to the Warriors because they had no one else who could deter Lebron and Kyrie from getting to the rim every play.
08:14 THANK YOU for mentioning this. I always felt that people overgeneralize when they say "Durant joined a 73 win team." People forget that the Warriors had to give up 2 starters and their deep bench to get Durant. The 2017, 2018, and 2019 Warriors minus Durant were not the 73 win team of 2016, and that showed when they were banged up with injuries in 2019.
The warriors will truly remain as one of the biggest teams of all time. Also a team with lots of what ifs. What if kd and klay weren't injured. What If kd didn't go 10-31 in game 6. What if bogut, iguodala, curry weren’t injured and what if draymond wasn’t suspended? We were robbed of the culmination of the GREATEST team of all time, …and we watched Steph and Lebron flip places in the eyes of most on the career accolades…what I mean by that, is if that is indeed finished off…and had Steph won finals MVP off that, Steph right now would be sitting at #2 in the GOAT debates with a stronger case than Lebron has currently. While it’s lost to history, I know who id rather have on my team.

@@Saltyahole Oh, all the possibilities. Reading this gave chills. I think Lebron would still remain great as he is. But Steph would suddenly get elevated into the stratosphere as the bonafide Lebron slayer had they won. And I think Lebron would still have a good shot at redemption in 17 and 18 coz there's little chance KD joins had the warriors won in 16. Damn, the narrative might have changed and people could actually vouch for KD pairing with Lebron as a fair means to stop the Warriors juggernaut, I mean two top-5 players pairing to stop a 73-9 monster would sound more acceptable as compared to what actually panned out. So many equations, so many possibilities. People have unfair criticisms of all these three legends. That's what all-time greats within the same era can do to each other. Whatever you do, cancel out each other's trophies or win more by teaming up, both seem to diminish their legacy. But we all know their greatness, just enjoy the next few years of greatness they've got to offer.

Biggest What-If: What if the 2016 Warriors never choked a 3-1 lead?
@Saltyahole
Жыл бұрын
My opinion, Steph would likely have a relatively firm grip on consensus number 2 in the GOAT debate. He revolutionized the game just as much as Jordan AND he finishes the unanimous MVP 73-9 with a championship (and a finals MVP ideally). That puts him at 2 if everything else is at least close to the same (still gets the 3 point record, still has 4 championships currently, etc…) I think a better question is what does that do to Lebron? If he gets one in Cleveland I think he’s still good…(maybe like 3rd in the GOAT debate to Steph’s 2nd in this exact scenario). Lebron has all the counting stats! He is a physical and genetic freak, second best set of genes in history to only Wilt…but I mean…Steph IS GOLDEN STATE. Others join him. Lebron is Lebron. He joins others. I’m not trying to sound critical. I recognize Lebron is also great. And as things actually stand today, Lebron is 2 in the GOAT debate, not Curry. Imo KD is nowhere near this type of discussion. Because greatness isn’t just about physical tools and skills…it’s also about winning, changing/revolutionizing/impacting the game…which is all LEGACY. Not trying to disrespect KD. But he definitely needs to win one outside of Golden State.
@prabalk.c.471

@@pr0xi_zura. You can put it either way, I guess. If that was a choke, then Lebron wasn't that great, he just benefitted from the choke. If Lebron was that great, then it wasn't a choke, it was just the undoing of a great team by one of the greatest players of all time
"INJURIES ARE PART OF THE GAME" - finally. someone said it! tired of people discrediting champs because of injuries to their opponents.
Curry & the whole Warriors Story will be a Legend for years....same as how we loved the Last Dance of MJ & the Bulls.
I gotta give respect for Curry on this Finals Run. I remember a lot of people saying the Celtics have been giving the Warriors problems during the Kerr/Curry era and that Marcus Smart has given Steph problems his whole career. You know he took that stuff personal
if the teams had all their starters in every game of the series, cavs would've won in 2015 and warriors would've won in 2016
That 2017 team was stacked and the championship does not seem important. However, Curry makes that team broken. The 2016 Thunder and 2017 Spurs were good too, but Curry made that team that great. Steve Kerr’s system based on the Triangle made that team great. That team played All-time basketball. Just because it’s not hard doesn’t mean that the dominant team isn’t impressive. Also, be should be noted that every team has injuries in its run and winning is difficult. Curry’s play shows for itself. The teams great team basketball shows for itself.
We can hate all we want on the KD Warriors but both parties walked away winning, injuries aside. KD injected new life into the Warriors dynasty, KD and Steph both walked away with 2 rings apiece, 3 total for Steph Klay Dray and Iggy. And a boost in everyone’s legacies. I agree that the rings they won were very much expected and props on getting the job done but they were 100% expected. Now, fast forward to today, like Steph says, “What they gon say now?!” Steph is that dude and a legend alongside LeBron James. 4x time champions the both of them and the best players of their generation. Can’t compare anyone to these 2 in terms of accomplishments and legacy right now.

Notable playoff Curry games from 2015-2022: Game 3 vs Pelicans 2015, Game 4 vs Blazers 2016, Game 7 vs Thunder 2016, Game 4 vs Cavs 2016, Game 2 vs Cavs 2017(maybe), Game 1 vs Clippers 2019, Game 6 vs Rockets 2019, Blazers vs Warriors 2019, Games 3 and 6 vs Raptors 2019, Game 4 vs Celtics 2022
Warriors Dynasty explained in three words: Wardell Stephen Curry
Wanted warriors and Celtics the whole time. Got what I wanted- sorta. Celtics were about as good of an opponent they could have asked for to prove the quality of team they had. I’m currently in a Jayson Tatum jersey but I have to say that I’m inspired by what the warriors did, because I know my team is up next
15:56 dom really used the Saw ending soundtrack for the transition. It does fit but damn that felt weird to hear
Top 10 all time. No one can take that away from him

The Fact that Curry and GS have been the favourite in almost ALL their NBA finals apppearances should actually be a positive legacy wise
Golden dynasty > Any curse possible (including Dom curse)
epic video. epic.
Niceeee yooo!!! Warrriorrrrssss!!! 🏆
People bashed gsw in 2015 when they won a chip because of injuries. But people didnt bashed the raptor in 2019 when it was the exact same thing. They really just want to hate on curry huh?
Bro recorded this video w gritted teeth
Can’t talk about 2016 playoffs without mentioning Curry’s MCL injury vs the Blazers. He was having trouble getting past Kevin love in the finals. Dude was not 100%.
Mannnnnn...Those were evenly matched teams...It went to the final seconds of game 7...Then we were the absolute best for 2 straight years....Then God himself broke our team up... KD, Achilles...Klay,Knee ..Looney,Shoulder...2 years climbing from the bottom....The basement... Actually being the worst team in all the land 2 years ago....And here we are again....At the top....This one is sweet...Oh,and we aren't apologizing for being the best ...
A plus vid
Curry's face at 16:00 tells us a lot about what we can expect from him and the warriors.
Dont be surprised if they win 65+ games next year

Not sure if they will have the stamina and save energy to the play offs but I'm rooting for their success with high level basketball

Nah the roster now is full of young guys and they probably will just play hard enough to get into the playoffs
I love your videos, and your production is normally great, but the audio was a little off on this one. You were super quiet compared to the clips.
Nigga out the saw theme music on at the end you wild
If Stephen Curry isn't a top 10 NBA Player of All-Time, I'm not sure who is.
So happy for Steph 💛💙
Draymond was Suspended for game 5, Bogut was injured in the first half of game 5 out for games 6 n 7, Iguodala with back pain in games 6 n 7, warriors lost their rim Protection.
2 years ago when Giannis went up against a lot of injured teams no one was pounding him like they did with Steph and the truth is no one should care about injuries because imagine if a lot people were healthy. Why should that matter it is all the same game.

NBA fans pick and choose who to hate on curry is the villain of the league so anything he does will be discredited
When u realize that its 16 minutes 😪
