I really like the Lunario concert, largely due to how Ale's bass is recorded, very 'angry', and how much Ale seems to be into the whole performance. I play this quite a bit over the home stereo and big screen.

@@victorycast In her younger years she is like that, over time though she took on a different role, it seems, their parents said she sort of assigned herself the role of taking care of her sisters. Bendeth in Mayday in the Making said Ale is the one you do not screw with. In a couple of the after videos the crew jokingly calls her the security. Pau calls her scary in a good way.

Waiting for two for Tuesday all week really enjoy this and I think you’re probably right on your take on what the songs mean at least that’s the way I take it. This being the title track from their first full length album it doesn’t get the play that it should. It’s still amazes me that these young ladies are able to craft songs so expertly, there’s always something great some hidden gem in each one that sets it up for repeat, listening. Thanks again for a great reaction.

12:31 I honestly don't know how Dany sings while playing like this. This is not just easy strumming through chord changes, but playing an actual riff that doesn't even follow the vocals. Amazing.

I know, right? I've been playing off and on for 40+ years, and I STILL can't do that! That girl is just wired different (and Pau as well, with her multi-tasking between the drums, singing and the various triggers with Ableton on her laptop!)🤪 Blows my friggin' mind every time.😂👍

I love telling these stories regarding my son. He’s so in tune with today’s technology I need his help in just figuring out my phone. My brother often takes me and my son on road trips on the weekend, but the boy has his face stuck on his phone. I tell him to stop and look outside the window and enjoy the view. He says: “Boring.” While sitting on a bench waiting for a bus to take us home after school. My son was laughing while texting someone. I asked who he was texting. He said: “My friend at school. He’s over there.” My son pointed to the boy on the other end of the bench. I said: “OMG! The Warning was right!” My son texted his friend: “I knew he was going to say that.” The two boys laughed and continued texting each other.

That entire concert, Lunario, is magical. All 3 were on fire that night. Do Crimson Queen from Lunario & you’ll see my favorite Dany performance. That Dany solo is epic … & it’s not even the best one on the album. Ok, it’s tied for best but for melodic guitar work ‘Show Me the Light’ is spectacular (& the one guitar solo Dany has said she wishes was longer)

I know I'm not alone in saying this, but this solo is Dany at her finest. Her shining the light is what I´m looking forward to every time I listen to this. It makes the song and sums it up. And you are right, there is much punk in this. This was what they produced instead of going mainstream and signing a bad record deal which would have made them into Disney puppets. Viva The Warning! ⚡⚡⚡

This was really the first big swing from TW at social commentary and they absolutely hit a home run with it. My first 3 songs I ever heard from TW were Choke, then Evolve and then XXI Century Blood. I was so stunned by this song and video I immediately went on their website and ordered all 3 albums (fortunately all in stock somehow) and downloaded their first EP. Shortly after I joined their Patreon and Discord and purchased my first concert tickets in 15 years to see TW. I think it’s safe to say they’ve had a pretty big effect on me.

The lunario show is mythical. It is the presentation of her second album, Queen of the Murder Scene, which is a concept album. The interpretation of the story is great and super powerful. So it would be good if you did it completely, two songs per Tuesday. although each chapter has 3 songs. In this show Ale is 13 years old and she is the one who takes on the task of opening the show with a small bass solo... it's wonderful. ⚡🤘⚡🤘⚡🤘

If you like their raw sound, the concert at Lunario is for you. It consists of songs from XXI Century Blood (their 1st album) and debuts live versions of the entire Queen of the Murder Scene album (their second). Most people will want you to watch all of the QOTMS songs in order because it is a concept album and tells a story. But, if you aren't going to do that, Dust to Dust, Ugh, Dull Knives, Queen of the Murder Scene and The End are my favorites.

You are correct about the high points to hit. With him not being a lyric guy, listening to the whole thing in order just doesn't seem like it would be worth the investment in time. I've only done full run throughs maybe 3 times myself to follow the story. (album listen, another album listen after watching the vlogs explaining the songs, and a full watch of Lunario) After that it's just to enjoy the music and the performance.

To me. There's very few Warning songs I prefer studio over Live. Example I love the studio version of *Revenant* over the live version. But I'll even take their raw acoustic live versions over their studio counterparts. It's very rare that a band's live versions are much much better than their studio versions. But they pull it off some how. About what a song really means. The Warning writes songs as vague as they can so the listener can interpret the song anyway they want. Or need at that moment of time. For the girls, it meant this. But for you it means something else. That's rock music for you.

You called it in one right off the bat.😉 Even at their young ages at the time, they were very aware of the world around them, and this was their take on what technology and social media was doing to the population. Definite 'Matrix' vibes from this! (If you think about it, Disciple is the perfect follow-up to this!) The live version at Lunario was really tough for them, as they were getting their first taste of what it was like playing full out at high altitude (7500 ft.). Their vocals suffered a little bit as a result, but they gave it 110% and pulled through regardless, because you know... *THE WARNING!* 😄 They've since played numerous times in Mexico City, and other high altitude locations, and prepared for it ahead of time! 🎵🎶 🤘😎🤘

in the live version you chose from Lunario, one reason their voices are as rough and raw as they are is due to the altitude of Mexico City (2240m, 7350ft) which is higher than Denver, CO (1609m, 5280ft)... their hometown of Monterrey is ""only"" 540m or 1770ft above sealevel... they weren't there long enough to really acclimatize before they had to perform... it was a little hard for them to catch their breath and they were a little confused as to why they were having the problems singing that they were having... they speak about it in one of their vlogs and i believe they said it was their mother that reminded, afterward, about the altitude... when they heard that, they realized why they had been having those troubles... I am sure you would enjoy that entire concert! That was, obviously, the title track of their first album, but this performance was an interlude between Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 of their Rock novella, (Rock opera) and concept album Qeen of the Murder Scene. I think you may have already reacted to some of the tracks performed at the Teatro Metropalitan, but the Lunario is the entire story. If you enjoy the rawness, angst, and bit of punkiness as much as I do, you would enjoy a full listen to this concert; and we would enjoy a full reaction to it.

Indeed this was a while back, it being the title track of their first full album from 2016. Previous they had only made one EP, Escape the Mind. Before that they did covers, which they absolutely killed. Definitely worth exploring too.

Hey Rob. I like your reaction here and I think you’re pretty spot on about the meaning of this song! This is the first song off the album of the same name who you know by now is their first full length album. It’s a great song with a real blues-y vibe IMO at least. The rest of the album is great too and most of the live cuts are played at this concert. Thanks again, like a lot of us I really look forward to your 2 for Tuesdays with TW and also great to see you looking like you’re feeling good!

Could you consider the idea of getting to know our girls beyond just the musical performance aspect, but as individuals? You could start with a mini-documentary that tells a bit of their story and a LOT about their personalities. It's just a friendly suggestion! Hello and thank you!

How i see it is, if you don't pay attention to a song's lyrics , you can only know half of the song overall.

I liked the studio version better. Im the live version it felt like they were trying to rush through the song. The lyrics ... Man the lyrics are so powerful and to think that they wrote this song when they were 11, 14, and 16 just says so much about their song writing abilities. They don't play this song live that often now and maybe that's due to the fact that their vocals have changed as they have matured. I feel they have some songs that they should consider re-recording to adapt to their more mature vocals. What do you think? I'd like to hear your opinion.

Now would be the time to do it, it is hard to go back and capture the sound 20 years later. Here is a comment that could get me killed 😆but I love MMM Bop from Hanson, always did. And I remember back when it came out thinking, no chance they can do this once their voices mature. They pull it off well now, but not the same.

@@victorycast maybe there's another way. I don't know if you've heard their new single "Hell You Call A Dream" but I saw them perform it live and Ali was doing the high harmonies when Dani "went In to heaven is the only way to describe it" went up like four octaves to sing a solo part. Maybe they can talk Ali into so going the lead on a remake. That woman has an incredible voice of her own. Just a thought!
