    Never will understand how Maggie could even face Negan after what he did. Going back and rewatching Glenns death put that into perspective, it’s unforgivable

    Their minds are completely twisted from the apocalypes. What they deem forgivable is probably way off from reality. Plus they're forced to be around eachother. I think it's good "humans gonna human" writing.

    I think it’s a lot different when you live in a world where you realize everyone has it unfair. You then realize that even if the cards you had been dealt in life were unfair- the fact that you made it this far has to mean something, especially if the person who is responsible for causing you so much pain in your life apologizes.

    The way that moral ambiguity is portrayed in this show - just exquisite. No one is all good or all bad. Some are worse than others. Everyone has done bad things to survive. I am reminded of Rick's line, way back in Season 5: "just because we're good people doesn't mean we won't kill you." In my experience, no other piece of fiction honors human complexity like TWD does.

    I don’t think it’s that he took that long to realize what he did was wrong, rather the gravity of what he did. He previously told Maggie that if he could do it over again he woulda killed them all if it meant the sanctuary didn’t get annihilated. He had a responsibility as their leader and he failed them all. He spent a decent amount of time trying to make amends for his actions, and he was successful with many other people, but Maggie was always his blind spot. He didn’t truly, fully realize what he took from Maggie until he had it nearly happen to himself.

    @christopherkimber7679

    7 ай бұрын

    Yeah, I’ve thought that before, but the fact is that had Daryl not blown up the first group, they would’ve killed Abraham and Sasha. Then they sent that guy back to Hilltop to take what’s his names head, and the group found out they were taking half of everything. So Rick and company were absolutely right to make a preemptive strike to Negans cohort. Plus, idk how, but it seemed as though EVERY person in negans group was just the worst kind of person. At least Rick and his people cared and tried to work with others. Sorry, but Negan never had a leg to stand on. They were a terrible group of people doing unspeakable things to people that didn’t deserve it. They preyed on the weak and got their asses handed to them. 😂 But Negans character arc is incredible. I love that he got here. Great ending to a great show.

    I seriously think the writers in this series were tripping on something half way through the season! If someone beat a loved on of mine with a baseball bat, taunted him with his skull crushed, bet your ass he would be gone a long time ago, where is the justice in this shit? Seriously lol

  • @Wes_Bradley-Taubner

    @Wes_Bradley-Taubner

    7 ай бұрын

    The Justice is having Negan live the rest of his life feeling more and more guilty about his actions as the show goes on. As he continues to spend the rest of his life seeing how good Glenn’s loved ones really are as people and seeing just how how much he took from them is his punishment that’s just gonna get worse and worse for the rest of his life. If he showed no remorse, then yeah he would’ve been killed as punishment. But because he does feel remorse for what he did, Maggie decided it would be a worse punishment to force him to live with that guilt for the rest of his life. If the writers had her forgive Negan, then that would be a problem cause then his punishment is softened.

    I don’t see where they were “trippin”. You forget that Maggie did finally get to him at Alexandria when he was locked up? And she saw how broken keeping him locked up in solitary confinement was and she decided that RHAT was a better punishment that outright killing him. It wouldn’t have done her any good because she would’ve had to live the rest of her life with what happened and Negan would’ve never given her this sincere apology and grown the way he did. Instead she was satisfied with him rotting and he eventually had the best story arc in the show, saving Judith and Lydia, saving Hershel from the commonwealth troops, helping maggy (albeit very cautiously with a lot of bickering)get the supplies and food to bring back to hilltop to try to rebuild and save their people. I feel like killing a person outright doesn’t do any good. I’d rather a murderer spend his life behind bars having to deal with the consequences of their actions.
