The Vulcain Cricket is Back!

Ойын-сауық

Wei and Jeremiah take a closer look at Vulcain and the revival of the classic Cricket, the famous alarm wristwatch most associated with the brand. The new collection consists of faithful re-editions from the 1950s and are likely to become instant hits!
We have entrepreneur and passionate enthusiast Guillaume Laidet to thank for bringing back the Cricket. He has been responsible for revamping Vulcain's brand strategy as well as the recent resurrection of long dormant names like Nivada Grenchen and Excelsior Park.
Pre-orders for the new Cricket are available now!

@Yorkiepoocharlie I just like them, I don't work in the watch industry (I'm a bartender), I don't own one but I'm looking to get one. I'm going to check the new one soon as it gets to the store but I also watching how low will get the previous model (I like the 39mm with Arabic indexes) and also I'm thinking that may I have the same result with a fraction of the money getting one from the 70's with shaped case. I've been study vintage shaped cases Vulcans's references lately to get a better idea of what I should look for.

My first luxury watch was a rose gold cricket president’s watch. It was 42mm and I sold it because it was a bit to big and bulky for my wrist, otherwise a beautiful watch. Is it only going to be 36 or will they have any other offerings between 37 and 40mm?

The previous CRICKET where about 6-7000, if I remember correctly. They where available in 42mm and 39mm. You can still find NOS for less than the new just came out.

I'm not sure if I understand the question, what I can tell you, from what I know, the alarm hand move only with the crown so it stays where you set it. You can set the alarm but if you don't have the pusher in the alarm is not going off.

Sorry, you are incorrect about how you wind the watch! All the Cal.120, the V10 and all the other modern Vulcain calibers have a SWIVEL RATCHET, clockwise the swivel ratchet engage with the alarm barrel gear, counter clockwise the swivel ratchet engage with the watch barrel gear. You can get a confirmation of what I'm saying on the official website.

Because you get a new watch, which means you can choose dial, case size, and case back, you have a new caliber made with new technology and 2 year warranty, no faded lume or dial, no scratched or polished case, all original parts. Saying that I'm considering to buy a ref S2325B or S2321B which are shaped cases from the 70's
