Last week, the world lost one of the greatest actors to grace the big screen, as Christopher Plummer passed away at the age of 91. The Canadian actor had a career spanning seven decades, but to many he’ll always be remembered for his iconic role in timeless classic The Sound of Music. Today, more than 50 years since the movie’s release, we’re reuniting some of the actors who played the Von Trapp children, as they pay tribute and say ‘So Long, Farewell’ to Captain Von Trapp.

All the coverage of The Von-Trapp Family and the actual SOUND OF MUSIC,has been absolutely wonderful. This is definitely a legendary movie,play and soundtrack.

Leisl and Louisa... The actresses who played them were outlived by Captain and Fraulein. That's sad... Would be great for them all to have lived a really long time
For us, the actors are real people - not playing a role really!! We love them, they will remain alive & immortal forever!!

The grand children of Maria and the Captain continue the legacy of the von Trapp family.
Every September, if you're in L.A. the Hollywood Bowl puts on a Sing Along screening of the film, w/ a costume parade prior to the screening; it was hosted by Charmian Carr, until her passing. Great fun....imageine 15 000 people in the dark, waving light sticks and cell phones during Climb Every Mountain and Edelweiss and Something Good. I knew of Julie Andrews from our first big stereo record player. For Christmas in 1964, we got that and a 33 stero recording of My Fair Lady original stage cast recording. Ditto for Angela Cartwright....I knew about her from The Danny Thomas Show, so when the credits first showed early in the film, I thought: "oh, I know about those two." I got a brainstorm a few years ago, when I was the color commentator for local L.A. HS football.broadcasts....the top team in the country, St. John Bosco, was playing another team not as skilled. It was like 43-0 in the 3d quarter, and I said: "remember the Nuns and Nazis scene in Sound of Music, where they're all hiding behind the gravestones in the monastery basement, and Liesel shouts: "Rolf, PLEASE !" Central Catholic, PLEASE score at least once and make this game interesting.!"
I do like how,you shoot the interviews,without props,it gives us a glimpse into their real lives. Do the actors, get royalties from the. movie,since MariaVan Trapp had sold her rights to the story?
Masks - that spoilt it early on for me, had t turnoff then! sorry, not sorry!

Why on earth? What's wrong with making beautiful masks? You have your beliefs regarding COVID etc, and she has her own, and so do I. Instead of shutting something off due to a very small detail that took like a few secs maximum from the video, you should instead focus on the big picture: to enjoy an interview and see the actors of the Sound of Music again :)
