The way your fam warns you "don't tekan here don't tekan here!!!" 🤣🤣🤣
Watching your vids for many yrs probably one of the most enjoyable ones. Real world use case for a regular joe going about his regular life and enjoying it w this Volvo EV
great video! and....imagining "when I see you again" song playing at the background at the ending~~
I love your new microphone, love the video format too keep it up ❤️
Love this. Not just the car but the review indeed much detailed yet casual. I will get this car for my wife soon.
Sodium Ion battery is coming out in next year or so.... that will bring battery cost down significantly.....CATL is already pioneering Sodium Ion battery, the new Tesla 2 will use a hybird of lithium ion and Sodium Ion Battery. BYD also will also use Sodium Ion Battery for their new Dolphin and Seagull model.... Malaysia is one of the graphene producer (produce form Palm Oil Kernel) which can enchance the performance of Lithium and Sodium Ion battery. I hope the new goverment will encourge CATL and BYD to set up their Sodium Ion Battery in Malaysia. They will really revolutionise our industry. And bring EV to mass affordability.

I use car speaker while watching. The time Bobby said Hi google, my phone translated his words habaha
aaaa.. Abg Bobby never disappoints. Excellent in-depth, real-world review. Terbaikkk bang.
I love this format
loved the review..keep up the good work!
EV vehicles are definitely the way forward. However, having said that, I would prefer to wait until the policies concerning EV vehicles are more mature. Not the mention the EV charging facilities are also not easily available yet.
Nice review Bobby. Remember last time I told u to buy GR Yaris. End up I bought 2019 Alphard, for the comfort of my family my wife said..
The part when your daughter said "don't return the car, return the white car" make me laugh so hard
love the video
Bobby, pls test drive the polestar 2 - can't wait to hear your thoughts.
This video format is good. Very casual yet interesting.

Bobby, 2 weeks on this Volvo EV was absolutely as real life as one can get! Thanks for the down to earth review. Good stuff. Anything you dislike about this Volvo?

The old sensus infotainment is prettier and easier to use. This new google system is faster but less practical. Google maps beats everything though.
Great review! How is the charging point situation outside metro areas in Malaysia?

Practically none.
hi Bobby, what is maintence service cost ?
It converted me too, back to an ICE asap.
How is this compared to the new C40 EV?
21:12 aston bye bye xd
Please tell us how much it costs to charge the car...
Really beautiful vehicle. The biggest flaw is battery technology, it can only be charged to 80% to keep battery healthy. BYD can be constantly charged to 100% with minimal impact on battery health. An excellent review too!
Let’s say the car is fully charged… then I leave it for few weeks (travelling overseas) does the battery discharge?
Hi Bobby, I’m driving an Ioniq 5 now. Ya it looks way cooler than xc40 btw hahahaha. But, your xc40 seems more practical in every sense. I wonder if you tried before Ioniq 5 and could share some thoughts. I haven’t try the xc40 yet. I got a child and expecting another one. Wonder which one is more suitable for this family size. Btw, man, how’s the rojak? I stayed near there but didn’t know this… 😂 and yeah the noodle shop become crazy crowded these days… service is good and priced decent. P/S: the gentleman behind is he studied at Tsun Jin High School last time? 🧐
2024 will have extended range and rear view drive variant for XC40, would you still think that it's only suitable as 2nd car? I really don't mind driving from Penang - KL and just park there to charge overnight even with the current range.

It still depends on many factors - climate, personal needs. even extended range 500 is a max range, and it will be considerably less in winter. And taking into account manufacturer recommendations to avoid 100% charging, it is still quite often not comfortable, not practical and even not safe to have EV as a first car. But the progress is not bad, I really hope EVs can be soon the only car.

@@vitalyromas6752 in our country, there is no winter. So I think that's one less thing to worry about.
my verdict. i do loveee ev cars. hoping to hv one in future. but taking count on the car price that only do groceries and roaming in neighborhoods, limited distance movability, very time consuming on charging, no piece of mind (always thinking about charging - u will be doom in the next morning if u forgot to charge) and limited charging stations (what if u hv to balik kampung? or do site jobs for weeks? or emergency need to go outstation?), it is kinda expensive lifestyle imo and not that practical for most people. at least not in this time being. picture this if u can only have one car for all, ev is not an all rounder car. u need to hv another car, thus increase your liability...
Try to Install ABRP/Plugshare to plan your route.

Hi , can volvo fix the air cond still on when driver gone out to fetch kids from school while grandpa inside the car ?
Bobby since that you have driven Volvo XC90 T8, you should consider to buy the upcoming Volvo EX90 that recently debut.

I am of the opinion EVs are better off being the daily runaround small 5 seaters for daily use and not for the flagship go anywhere family car.
Heard XC40 back seats were not comfortable to sit
21:21, Bobby was so naughty... 😅
How u charge ur car when u live in an apartment?
U put a lot of effort in this vlog. So ngam the wedding dinner falls on the day u had the xc40

Hey Bobby, since there are a lot of EVs coming to Malaysia, I'm considering buying the BMW i4 but i also want to know about other EV cars. Is it an i4, an EV6, a Volvo, or ohers. Which one is a better design interior and exterior.

As for current EV technologies and limitation, this type of car is only proven in short or city driving. The reasonable cost to recharge it is at your own house.
I really like the Volvo C40.
Volvo should launch the single motor version and sell below 250k
When you show an ev also show the storage, families want to see everything thst is not only the speed and drive. I want to see the frumk

Both are wearing. She is too short to have the belt go over her neck so its just the lap. My kids wont allow me to move if they havent belt up, this came from me training them since you g that i wont move if they are not belted. :)
Pls test drive and review the Kia ev6 to see if it is a better ev cars. Thanks
Would you consider driving this car to Penang?
@BobbyAngmalaysia
Жыл бұрын
Yes if there's a charger every 100km or so. The problem is EVs get used up massively at high speeds and mountainous areas, and heading to Penang is gonna be high speed + mountainous along Ipoh .. bad for EVs

If you are watching movie and cannot unplug, then don't charge at all. Not sure if you understand the frustration of EV owners. 😊

Ermm how is this logic to expect an ev owner with a low charge to not charge because he might wanna watch a movie
Can I said, your daughter didn't wear the seat belt correctly and properly. If this is her habit, it may one day takes her life or something she takes as granted. It may be harsh but you know what I means.

Perhaps you should go research on kids having belts over their necks in a car accident
Obviously your car usage is extremely low. Not suitable for typical Malaysian drivers
If you think volvo EV is nice, you’re right, but you’ll be blown away with BYD Han. Even the Ora good cat is way smarter than Volvo.
