This is a hidden gem, definitely deserves more views. the main reason I love these ultra low budget shorts is that they stand or fall entirely on the telling of a story, without the distraction of flash camera work and special effects. They rely entirely on the human element and this one really delivered. an engaging story, well written and beautifully acted. More please.

Absolutely fabulous movie with so much happening! Layers of the story expressed with what I think is phenomenal acting, with great chemistry between the two main actors. This is one of the very few short films that I can see becoming a full length picture. Much appreciation for you all too produce this film for us. It really is one of the better things I've seen.

Very good. Very realistic plot and presented with realistic costumes and survival techniques for the basis of the concepts. Even the advanced weapon she used was a nice touch and the use of the common revolver by the assailant indicates this isnt that far in the future. Excellant attention to detail. Very impressive.

This mini flick of a sci-fi movie deserves so much more than just recognition. It is severely underrated. And short movies like that are very difficult to find, because of so many reasons. There's nothing better than having a suitable budget,a well-thought out plan,no need for special effects,no explosions, and no melodrama. Dystopian sci-fi mini flicks like that are a rare gem. And it won't be long before geo-politics starts to change, evolve, and alter by compromising our civil and constitutional rights. There's nowhere in our Constitution that our country goes on forever. The things that we take for granted,is because of the choices we make. Either we exercise our constitutional rights or LOSE them. Or have them taken away from you. Eventually,we will no longer have a nation that was there for us. It'll be taken over by an unknown entity. And what's more, this new movie coming up on March Twelfth, called "Civil War" in IMAX theaters, will be the testament of what our near future of America will be.

This is really superb film, a great storyline. Everything from the beautiful location and surroundings to the outstanding way the actors portrayed their characters kept my attention from beginning to end. Sarah is a beautiful woman, natural and talented, a pleasure to watch. Schoen portrayed his role so well that I felt like I knew him by the end of the film, he was funny with a kind of vulnerable innocence. Call you tell how much I liked and enjoyed the experience?

This mini movie of a sci-fi film had been severely underrated. It deserves so much more than just a sequel. A continuing series of what happens after she does into the City. What will she,a survivor of survivor's guilt,do when she. *does* meet the late Adam deceased father of his daughter? Who's a redhead. Redheads are rare specie's of humanity, apparently.

I think I just fell in love with Sarah Haworth & Keely Leonard because the writing of this was absolutely superb. The foreshadowing when she refers to him as dead weight. The contrast between the system "asking" her to volunteer to be a mom (something she admittedly wanted to be - but now won't) and Adam -not asking- her to volunteer to rescue his sister, (something she clearly said she wasn't going to do - but now will). The parallel between her fleeing the city because, among other things, "volunteering" is a death sentence, even though that's whats literally keeping all humanity alive and her going back to the city voluntarily even though that is likely also a death sentence and would only keep one person alive (but perhaps that's what keeping our humanity alive means). He kept his promise i.e in 5 days he would be out of her life forever. The canteen scene is awesome : He doesn't know his canteen has a hole in it which means it will always be half empty, symbolically she has a hole which she doesn't know about which means she will always be half empty. She remarks that the "sap from the tree can help mend the hole if it isn't too big", when she(and thus we) first meet Adam he's coming out from behind a tree i.e he's the sap(fool) from the tree that can help mend the hole she has(if it isn't too big). Adam makes the remark "that's one sticky tree" and then proceeds to follow her and ask to make a deal for them to "stick" together. This short is just so well thought out. I loved it.

pretty good job for a low budget, no-special-effects effort. Well acted. The problem is the "touch somebody and you both die" aspect. Any good sci-fi fan wants to know how that dynamic works. I'm a biologist, and no obvious mechanism occurs to me. Still, if I can suspend disbelief on that point, the whole flick comes together pretty well.

What a fine film this is...our current situation chips away at the Sci-fi though, bringing this closer to our hearts and minds in that most special dystopian way, unfortunately. If you ask me, even if you take away COVID 19, it only looks good in the ignorant eye, wars going on for years in many countries, civil wars and mass killings triggered by tribal or religious allegiances, inequalities and discrimination in all shapes and forms, open or hidden slavery and human trafficking, organ harvesting and political assassinations, corrupt press and world organizations, many countries controlled economically towards obviously negative effects, detrimental social engineering, lack of transparency and censorship all over all the time, it's just that we can now see it clearly. I totally feel like we are living the illusion when in fact the dystopia has set in long ago. It scares the shit out of me.

A lot of city boys don’t know how to trap an animal or make a fire, but you didn’t need to completely neuter him to make the point. Of course, his actions at the end did redeem his manhood for the most part. Sorry to focus on a negative! I enjoyed the video and would like to see a full movie made out of this. Thanks!

Chemistry between the actors is brilliant. I loved a lot of things about this film. Two things, and they could just be me... Not sure what kind of a disease stops you even touching people's coats while they're alive (on pain of death; he obviously died), and yet allows you to safely place flowers on them when they're ten minutes dead. Also, they'd be at risk every time they used each other's things - like jumpers - or if they ate from the same fish. And I may have missed something, but did that photo of the guy's sister have her address on the back? I'd wander around that city until I was caught before I found the right house.

Well that was a bit depressing. The least contact of another physically results in sudden death. Uplifting that self sacrifice might still be a thing in humanity in a world lost. Was the voice on the radio real or a recorded message meant to give hope for any possible survivors? Excellent work, well written and acted.
