That is why this man you just saw performed art. Everybody can "sing" with some practice or talent but only good singers can reach the title of bein an "artist".

Meister Kümmert. Seit ewigen Zeiten mal wieder diesen Clip angesehen. Jahrhunderttalent. Und er macht sein Ding im kleinen Rahmen,so wie er es wollte. Staunen musste selbst Beth Hart beim Auftritt mit ihm im Sommer diesen Jahres. Und sie ist ja nun wirklich eine international bekannt tolle Sängerin ! Lange lebe dieser Mann. nope she was pushed by the media beforehand sorry the voice format never has had a better winner than him and yes he stood the voice up and told them after the win no ... he had no coaching etc prior to the show ... plus this year's winner had a great voice but it's not unusual and nothing that we had not had before ...

@@enJ0eable what are u talking about that was not a sexual assault charge brought against him --- 4 ladies in one of his concerts got a tongue lashing after they provoked him during his show ... his comments to the four ladies were taking as a sexual verbal insult but charges were never filed as the rest of his viewers in the show agreed to his statement ... which were a direct response to the verbal attacks of the women ... thank heaven we live in a country that does not run a horrific law system ... be glad he does not sue u for slander there is a huge difference; (Example Here) ... calling someone a bitch or the innuendo u just threw up here of sexual assault know your facts before u post slander ...

Yes, you are all correct. I was referring to his version of whiter shade of pale, which I had just watched...... not sure how I missed The Rocket Man version at the start of the video, but I did.....too long ago to remember the exact circumstances now. 😉👍

This guy has just most phenomenal range to his voice. His tone, his passion and his soul just comes shining through on every performance. This is singing. Not a single re verb or auto tuner in sight. Pure class. Thank you.

sadly it's hard to discard auto tune completely in a situation like this...pre recorded in a studio and you can easily tell they've meddled with the vocals a bit and if they've meddled a bit you never know where they stopped. Im not saying he's a bad singer Im just saying that you can't take this stuff at face value sadly, that's just the nature of todays show and music industry

Andreas could fill stadiums worldwide, but it is his decison to make his own kind of music on small stages. And he is a multi-instrumentalist, able to play every instrument he need.Hopefully he comes in my area of germany. I'll be there again!😊

Very true! He is an exceptionally gifted artist.. a rare talent. I am glad he chose his path and wasn't swayed by people. It shows a strength of character which is applaudable.

I think I found my favorite singer ever....and I'm 74 years old. WOW!

In my years, and years of listening to Rock and Roll, at no point have I ever heard this song sung at a level that even the original group could put up there. With the soul and talent of a true artist, a singer, he not only made it his own but I think should own it out right. What an interpretation. This man not only sings with talent, he sings with soul. The things these songs were written for. 😁

Er hätte ein Weltstar werden können. Einer von nicht mal einer Handvoll den eine Castingshow zu echtem Weltruhm verholfen hat. Man muss seine Entscheidungen respektieren, aber es ist trotzdem sehr sehr schade. Ich hoffe er bereut es nicht irgendwann.

J'ai l'impression de revenir dans mes années 70/80 Pas besoin d'être beau, grand et bien habillé pour avoir un talent dingue Tout ces chanteurs de fils à papa qui s'écoutent chanter et qui on fait carrière avec pas grand chose comme voix devraient regarder et surtout écouter cet homme venu d'ailleurs.

Some people are just born legends . Andreas is one of those people .

Love how the judges all walked around at audition. Fantastic. Also loved how he tones it down when duetting with the woman so he doesn’t overtake her. Very considerate.

His Name is *Andreas Kümmert* and I really still love his Voice ever since and forever. He was *The Voice of Germany* 2013.

I wanted one of your CD's Simple Man. I don't think it's available anymore in the United States. I listen to you sing over and over. By now I'm sure you know how unique you are and what a pleasure your voice is to millions. I'm not sure if you've been to the U.S. yet, but you should come. Not to make you a great singer, obviously you already are, but I want everyone to hear you. I so enjoyed watching The voice Germany's coaches reactions and the loudest cheers I have ever heard on the Voice when you were singing. I'm 70 and can't walk even if you did come here to the United States, but I still wish you would. Bar none you are simply the best. Thanks so much ! May you have so much success in this life!!

I was the type of (German) guy watching the voice of Germany back in the days...and I've witnessed his first audition which really put my socks off. I'm not following the show since years but I strongly believe that nobody can compete with this talent and soul. I was really sad that the media hype made him mental problems but it was good to see his resurrection on smaller events...Andreas the best rock voice of Germany...Thanks so much.

Hello from Germany! To cancel the participation in the Eurovision Song Contest immediately after his victory in the preliminary decision was his best decision. Andreas Kümmert is still a gifted singer and guitarist today.

Of all the voice talent shows to which I've listened and watched over the last two decades, only two contestants stand at the top, one is Kelly Clarkson and the other is Andreas Kummert. Why isn't this guy a superstar? He has such a range and brings me to tears of joy every time I hear him sing these classic songs. Andreas, if you ever read this, dude, you're amazing! Sehr wunderbar! Sehr cool!

I know him personally. If you've checked his bio you would know he was no. 1 contestant on the "Eurovision Song Contest" after winning The Voice. Means he was chosen out of lots of singers to be germanys representant on this european singing contest. He declined the choice to represent a whole country right after he was told he won. As the first person ever, he said he won't be the no. 1 and gave his "price" to the no. 2. And instead of being honored for be being honest enough and having the balls to make clear, that this contest was just to much pressure he can't bear and so he decided what's best for his mental health... but the news destroyed him for this decision. That's one of the reasons he still is no superstar. He still is on tour, doing music and albums. But he just plays little concerts in bars and tiny halls to survive. His depression and personal issues being in big crowds won't let him become a huge star. But he is one, in most of our hearts. He is very unique. But pretty shy and introversed.

Part of what makes Andreas so talented is probably that he puts a lot of his emotion into his singing and makes us feel it. I'm glad that he has such good friends to be with him on his life's journey. He has a lot of fans. I hope this brings him joy and comfort.

I can not believe his voice. The best singer I have ever heard . I grew up in the 70s when music was real and this man is the real thing.

Brilliant, he just nailed everything they threw at him. I was sad when it ended, I could listen to him all night.

Sadly, he is absolutely not professional and not a great guy either. Spontaneously cancelling concerts because he just didn't want to do them, offending his fans, his producers and the general public over and over. But definitely the greatest singer I've seen on the voice.

Wunderbar! Er hat so ein exzellentes Timing, von der Stimme ganz zu schweigen. Wie ein Feuerwerk von musikalischen Ideen und kein Fünkchen Zweifel in irgendeinem Ton! Es muss sich gigantisch anfühlen so zu singen!

Outstanding talent. Don't know anyone who can sing "if you don't know me by now" like this. He IS music and owns the stage. Compliments also to the great band and background singers. Goosebumps and tears of joy.

"Kümmel" ist einfach klasse krass. Ich war schon auf ein paar Konzerten von ihm. Könnte ihm ewig zuhören. Einzigartige Stimme.

That blind audition was one of these few times in a casting show when you knew this is it. Pure and simple authentic music.
