The part that made me piss myself out of laughter was when the kids went on a walk with nana and pop pop and Tyler went “who am I” and starterd running around like the nan at night 😂😂
The funny thing about the boy's rapping; it was all written by M.Night Shyamalan, that's why it sounds like a poor teenager's attempt at it.

So the thing about the "elixir" probably refers to the step of The Heroes Journey: Return with the Elixir, wherein the protagonist gains the skill, ability, or knowledge that they've been lacking and that they need in order to progress trough the end of their journey.
My favourite part of the podcast is a tie between the adorable couple goals moments and seeing Lucy crawl all over the desk while Chelsea pretends not to notice

Its definitely unknown because it is Australian American made. But it is great as hell
Coming in from the future, I can give you what I think is the exact comparison for the tone: THE MENU. It's not a horror comedy where we're pacing the scenes to work around jokes, it's just a horror movie where there happens to be a bunch of funny lines and characters. Like, READY OR NOT is a full on horror-comedy, but not as much as CABIN IN THE WOODS. Basically, if the primary intent is to scare you and the secondary is to be funny, it's a funny horror movie. If it's a comedy with horror aesthetics and gore, but the primary objective seems to be to make you laugh, and actual terror seems secondary or incidental, it's a horror-comedy.
Congrats on 1 year of the deadmeat podcast

For anyone who's interested, the movie was shot with a Canon C300. That's why it looks more movie like, but still a solid choice for making a movie like this. Fairly small and maneuverable and good batteries.
This was a fun flick and the acting was on point. When I was watching it I thought it was going to be like the People Under The Stairs or the end of The Boy, but it went is a direction that was a lot more real than I expected. BTW I will defend After Earth till the day I die partly due to the Peter David novelization.
Fun fact: The guy who plays Pop Pop is from a town here in Scotland called Hawick, pronounced hoyik, which coincidentally is one of two towns where I grew up. And is also a street and a Barbershop in GTA 5. It being named after Hawick. The mo you know

Please do a episode talking about "Better Watch Out', it's such a great movie. So underrated, but so good, it deserves more praise to be honest.
I went to see this with my older brother in the theater. He is a giant horror fan who does not get scared easily. He audibly gasped at the hide and seek scene. It was such a good scene.
You two have such a wonderful, sweet relationship, I love you guys! Hi from Canada!
I genuinely love M. Night as a director, regardless of what others think about him. Plus, I actually really love The Village (2004).
I work with the elderly and sundowning is a very real condition not only with people that have dementia just elderly people in general sometimes have it. It can cause depression, as well as agression and exasperates mental conditions such as dementia.

This film is actually very sentimental to me. I took my wife to see this movie on her birthday...the same day she told me she was expecting our son! As for the movie, at the time I watched it I thought it was just ok, a definite improvement on his previous films as you guy's mentioned...I bought this on blu ray last year and after re-visit...I actually LOVE this movie (I'm a sucker for a good found footage flick!!!). Looking forward to checking out Better Watch Out! Great video guy's 😉👍
When I was a senior in high school, we watched this movie and everyone was coming up with theories for what was going on. It was hilarious cause our teacher was walking up to the board and writing down everything we were saying and he was combining our theories. Like early onset dementia and possession 😂
The problem with his films is "the twist" makes it hard to rewatch them.
@losttapesbypatricksmith

I really enjoyed The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and The Village, all of which I never got to experience without knowing the twist. I think all of them gain something in the rewatch as you're able to see things you missed the first time that would've clued you in to the twist.

It can be kinda fun to rewatch them and see all the things in the beginning that have a totally different meaning when you know the twist!
When Pop Pop pulled down his pants, I thought he was going to rape Tyler. I audibly said, "Oh, my God!" In the theater. I knew I wasn't actually going to see it, but I was terrified for both of those kids

@@thereenieweenie I can see where they’re coming from. Sexual Assault used for shock value in films is never good and is rarely done right, however, it’s done so often in film that it’s a little easy to get desensitized. How many times have you seen a movie where sexual violence is a real threat? Probably countless, even mainstream horror has it (Freddy Krueger comes to mind). Well what about the threat of having a used adult diaper shoved in your face? I can’t think of too many. So while yes, SA is very serious and awful, it’s not the road less traveled for film tropes.
@thereenieweenie

@@madeofmeats yeah but that doesn't mean it should disturb you less. This is exactly why movies shouldn't do this, because if he is this desensitized to it in movies when will it become normal in real life? Movies rarely just show it, they often sexualize it, and it basically coaxes out creeps and losers and r*pists.
