I’m officially obsessed with enemies to lovers tropes most of the time I hear enemies to lovers stuff I just think of the two mafia families who are rivals as well as there two heirs who hate each other but end up in an arranged marriage for business purposes of the parents and they extremely hate each other but during this whole thing he actually has loved her since the day he saw her in one of the missions as well as she had also noticed him in the end they both ended loving each other and became one of the most powerful couples in both of their families history ( yes I’m extremely delusional don’t judge me)

“Dance with me,” he purrs as he extends his inviting hand to me. I hesitate. His eyes gleam with viscous intent and I speak, my voice steady and cruel. “I’d rather not.” He smiles, baring his perfectly white teeth at me. I cringe. Before I can react his hand slings around my waist, his other taking my hand in his forcefully and starting to dance. I fight it but soon realise it’s to no use. “What do you want,” I hiss with a frown lining my features. “All I want is the necklace. You know, the one with the diamonds.” I huff out a dry laugh and his beautiful blue eyes narrow to slits. I smirk mockingly. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I purr hatefully. “You’re playing a dangerous game,” He hisses, his facade of amusement and calm now crumbling. Anger is palpable in his eyes. “And I always win those,” I say with a teasing and cruel smirk.

Oh geez, I absolutely love it. I like that he isn't so smitten, or at least, isn't that obvious; It's two rivals/enemies, with flirting inside it. Oh, Gods, perfect.

"Assassin, well that's a pleasant surprise. Who do you work for?" He asked as we waltzed across the floor. I had my knife at his naval. Which left me confused as to his question. He was awfully casual for someone who was about to die. He spun me around suddenly, and then dipped me just as my blade pushed to puncture his stomach. "I'd be careful if I were you." He told me, looking up from me and I followed his gaze. There was a man on one of the balconies. A sniper rifle pointed straight at my head. "Well played." I muttered as he pulled me back to my feet. "Thank you." He smiled, continuing to dance with me. I glared up at him. "What do you want? You haven't killed me yet, I assume there's a reason." "To be honest, it's because I like you. You're interesting, and one of the few who aren't afraid of me. So, I have a proposition." I blinked before rolling my eyes. "You're not very scary. You're resources are overwhelming is all." He chuckled at that before spinning me around again. His hand kept firmly between my shoulder blades as we danced. "Who do you work for?" He asked, but I shook my head, just a little. "I'm not a tattle tale." "Alright, what do you work for?" I stumbled in surprise. It was only a one word difference, but it made just that, a difference. "I.." "Hmm. I see." I glared at him again, my stare even harsher. But he only returned my gaze with a soft smile. What was he up to?

Asking this is the same as asking a fish if it wanted to be thrown into the water or left on land. - You... - I said looking as deeply as I could into those icy eyes. - You don't know what I want! You don't know what I need! Then you who... - I saved you!!! - He shouts, rising from the throne, exuding that fury he knew so well. - Judge as much as you want! Blame me! Tell me I did everything wrong, that I messed up! Say you hate me! As he said these words, he approached me so suddenly that I started to recoil in fear, until he got so close to me that I felt powerless. - That wouldn't make me regret it. Do you know why? - He says in a whisper so intimate and so close and I can feel his anguish in his breath that touches my face. - You know? - Now he says touching a part of my face that I realize is in tears. - Come on, you're so brave, Max... - he whispers my name like a melody, getting so close that I feel his nose lightly touch my cheek until his lips touch my ear. - Say... - Y-you wouldn't regret it because you're like that, because you're a monster... - I can say even though my breathing is shaky. He makes a low, serious sound, I don't know if it's pleasure or hatred. - Yes... a monster. The monster who destroyed a kingdom, who made many cry and bow, who betrayed those who called him son and would do it all again because it would be worth it. I could go to hell a million times Max, dance to the tune of the devil, I could suffer for every ungrateful soul I defiled, burn every part of my body for it, but still... I would still do it all again and again. He pauses, pulling away enough to look into my eyes with a determination. - Just to have you."

"I must admit, that thrust definitely threw me off from my footing." The demonic warlord twinged in both joy and pain as he gazed down to the mortal man beneath him, stuck struggling against the behemouths clever grinding down into the cavalry sword now shaking under both the pressure of the demon and that of his mortal adversary keeping it locked just above his head. Gleeming light from the roaring inferno around them lead to the mortals armor of cloth loosely drapped and covering plate to shimmer almost as if its threads produced light with the soul intent of blinding their demonic foe. "A gambled i had to take, you hit like a burning train." In a flash the struggling fighter whipped to the right while wrenching his blade up and away with one major heave, throwing the Demon off his feet and stagger back through the rement flames of his mens attack. This human was putting up a much grander fight then what he first expected. It was honestly impressive, he hadnt had a good fight for a while so this sensation began to cause he blood to pump, his heart to race, and joy to overcome and mix with bloodlust as his vision narrowed to just this warrior, and he reduded himself for battle. "Well then, come and prove yourself mortal, show me how powerful your kind really are-" The swordsman stood still, his blade reflecting flames while blood dribbles down the edge and onto the hilt, staining his white cloak with an ugly crimson. "You wish to see my real power? Well then, you shall behold my will, and humanities technology..." With that the monk figure lowered his sword, stomping one iron heel into the floor before reaching past his cloak into some unknown area. A soft click echoed out, barely audible over the buring buildings around them. Then, in a flash the man was engulfed in flames like a sentient pyre. Briefly overcoming his form before fading just as quickly. It revealed a beutiful ashed scorched set of armor blended beautifully with steam and cog work. A masterwork set of powered steam armor that completely enclosed the mans body. Souless goggles bore into the demon captain now. A respirator decked in plate rings out distorted and powerful words. Simultaneously fire over took a thin strip of his helmet, growing into a imposing blue flame. *"Lets see if your might is greater then mine"*

FINALLY someone who knows the ABSOLUTE QUEEN of enemies-to-lovers (rather enemies-in-love) Definitely recommend, my personal favorite story about love-hate relationship dynamics out of all movies/books/manwhas. It's basically the manwha equivalent of very famous and iconic book series- The Cruel Prince. But imo has a MUCH better dynamic.
