I wake in a dark warehouse. Dried blood stains the floor and I struggle against the rope. I'm tied to a chair. "Finally. Was waiting for you to gain consciousness," a cold voice came from behind. I twisted my neck to see him- no, a dozen. All in dark suits, and by the faint glint of something metal, they had knives. Possibly guns. I swallowed. "What do you want from me?" The tallest of them saunters to me. "Not you. Your psycho lover." He slowly crouches, elbows on his thigh, his hand perched loose on his knee. "Tell him to call his men back from our territory and I'll release his little princess," he crooned. If it weren't for my life at stake, I would have laughed. I only slowly shook my head. "You got the wrong person. I'm not his lover." I meet his eyes and see confusion in them. "The marriage; it's only a contract. He was forced into it as much as I was." I grit my teeth, muttering, "I killed his closest friend. I would have died if he didn't need a faux wife for his power games. We both hate each other to the core." And I'm suddenly met with an incredulous laughter. I frown. He only slowly shakes his head, his laughter dying out in slow chuckles. "That poor thing." He says almost to himself. While he was of the dark alleys, of gunshots and glinting knives and hands dripping with slow blood. Yet it never stopped either of you. You knew he would pull you into this world of his and you still took his hand, willingly. He stood at the bottom of a high cliff and you were at the top. You always knew you would throw yourself into the depth.

She glared up at me, under the cover of the building's overhang I realised the wetness on her face might not only be from the rain. "Because you," the vulnerability in her eyes was something I hadn't seen in years, "have hurt me more than any villain I have ever faced," my mind blanked as I looked down at her, there was nothing I could do, or say. 'I really fucked up this time,' I thought to myself as the woman I loved glared at me while tears of pure hatred ran down her face.

Out of all people, you would know.” His eyes flicked to hers, gaze darkening with rage and betrayal. And there, her breath hitched as she saw something else in his eyes- something she could not dare voice as it flickered before vanishing under his carefully sculpted detachedness. And upon seeing this vulnerability, her facade of ignorance and the bitter cruelty under it cracked as her voice broke upon whispering. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry, Varian-” He scoffed, his expression crumpling. “You are not. Whisper that to my corpse after you poison me again.” Her knuckles whitened on her goblet as its treacherous content sloshed with her trembling hands. “Am I to be executed, then?” He met her gaze with a long pause. “Do you not already know the answer? Is it not why you have so recklessly acted upon your motives?” He turned his face away from her as he forced the last words out through clenched teeth. “I could never hurt you, Adenine.” “Ian,” her voice was tender as she reached for him, her fingers grazing his hand. But at first contact he jerked himself away as if scalded by the touch, snarling, “Do not violate me further. You and I both know you harbor nothing but hatred for me.” He rose from his chair, his gaze flat and dead. “Get out. It is an order.” After seeing her motionless, he spoke again in a raw, pained voice: “Leave, Adenine. I beg you.”

Not when he finally speaks. “Do it.” Two simple words but they tore at me. I hate him. I despise him. All I can do it grip tighter on the handle. “Fucking do it!” He screams stomping closer. I aim to his heart. Just click it. One small movement and everything will be over. “Why won’t you do it?” He demands when he gets right in my face. it happened to me in high school. His class is next to mine. It started when we had a joint class for non-Muslim students. We weren't very close, but after spending an hour in that class we started talking and laughing together when the teacher left. We got along well after that and then he started making jokes about my school bag having a tiger logo on it but I still laughed and joked. We really joked about each other then he started being pretty mean to me, like when he called my forehead so big that people could play balls on it and made jokes about my forehead scar where everyone laughed about my insecurities so I really can't accept it. so i threw a big book at him and he was speechless. I was really angry and hated him, we didn't talk for almost a month. But everything changed when I finished a canned drink outside the class and proceeded to throw it away but the drink fell on my school shirt at the same time he was at the door and saw everything. I was embarrassed and try act cool like it was nothing and asked if my school clothes were dirty and he just nodded his head. After the last hour of the break his friend told me that he was sorry and wanted to be friends again. I didn't mad at him anymore after what happened like a hours ago but insteaf i start to like him. After a few weeks he started asking if i wanted to be his girlfriend and I said yes . Why i said yes because he is actually a soft spoken guy and shy when he's around me and i actually like him.

He had a deep big open wound on his chest. I quickly grab my medical sewing kit that I keep close by. I start to get worried as he keeps his eyes shut and did not make one sound. I felt her cold hand resting on my chest and her cold fingers briefly touching my skin as she closes me up. It sends a shiver through my whole body. “Aww, are you getting cold. I didn’t think that was possible for someone as cold-hearted as you”. I open my eyes, she was so close to me that I can see every feature on her face. She is so beautiful. “Why are you helping me?” I asked her as she cuts the string with her teeth. God her lips. “I can’t just leave you like this” She said staring at me, her beautiful brown eyes. Our faces were so close and I could just kiss her here and now. I had completely forgot about my pain and injury as I took her face and pulled her closer and kissed her perfect lips.
