I actually felt bad for homelander when stormfront died and his son who killed her just went with butcher (a guy he never saw) He started to really get attached to his son

Comics are shit Homelander isn't even that special brand of evil there He is like everyone else infact he is slightly less evil Cuz he at least try to save people sometimes

the tv show sucks, he is just literally a no character man baby, infantilized because amazon would never produce a show where the big bad is a megacorp, which is the actual villain of the comic. Homelander isnt even evil in the comic, he is the most squeky clean of all the supers, which was a huge point of contention between butcher and homelander, and a major underlying theme, that is until he is pushed to act out as a result from pressure from both the boys and black noir. The fact is the only dirt they had on homelander (which in the comic is the means in which they force vaught to disavow and excommunicate their human assets) is shit homelander didnt even do is kinda the whole point, the worst thing he was was incompetent, which is another key point in the much better written comic, arbitery amounts of power are useless and cause more harm then good when unfocused and wielded by the unlearned.

Yes but it was not born out of nowhere, homelander's like that because of VogalBaum experiments of how powerful he is by disecting him which will be in the episode 4 and upcoming

He is. But regardless, doesn’t change the fact that what he’s doing is still wrong. Especially considering the fact that he knows how bad suffering is, but still dispenses that suffering unto actual innocents with zero hesitation. To defend his horrid acts based on his upbringing would be like defending an abusive father because of his horrid upbringing. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

Homelander could still change with the help of Ryann, since the show already diverted already to the comics since Ryann was introduced last season 1 and up to now in the show and continues. The show makes it unpredictable now and they already teased that in this season 4 no one will die in the 7, teased by the actors on their interviews
