Thank you for posting this! My mother was from Rochester NY and has this on a 45. The song popped up in my mind tonight and I was going nuts trying to find it on the internet. II always loved the feel of this song.

When I sang this, I was also a folksinger at Le Gallerie Coffee House in Rochester, NY. Eventually, I switched to bass and performed in Los Angeles as the musical-comedy duo, Chandler & Barry, formerly Barry & Chandler for six years. After that, I joined the '50s, retro-rock group, Sha Na Na and toured the world, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Hong, Bermuda, the Carribbean and pretty much every State Fair and Casino in the states. During the four years I was with the group, we played about 250 days/year. (check KZread: solidgold1984shanana) Currently, I am an actor, voice actor and professional whistler, whistling for composers of documentaries, feature films, TV commercials, etc. That's what's been happening the last 50 years.
