The big red arrows do kinda ruin the atmosphere a bit, it'd be nice if there were more natural obstacles blocking the path, but there could be an issue with that if two players are on two different laps, even if that doesn't happen much on normal courses. Also the arrows have pretty strict hitboxes, I've had a time where I've taken a wide turn, slightly scraped the arrow, didn't even start going the wrong way and Lakitu still picked my kart up anyway.
