i think it was stupid too but i guess they were just so sure she would have read it. and also if they would have given her a fake one and she would have opened it then she would be possibly angry and wouldn't take them seriously anymore. That was the point in giving the letter to her that by riding it she would've get her humanity back. Otherwise she wouldn't even believe there was a letter. Sorry for the long comment :DD

I think the difference here is that Stefan was so used to helping Elena and he knew that in some way, he or even Damon could mend what was broken (but she ultimately chose Damon in the end). With Caroline, when it comes to emotions and control, she wants that to herself. She doesn’t want to put someone in charge of how she feels, so Stefan felt that he couldn’t help her like he did Elena so all he could do was watch her be in pain while feeling helpless

Caroline was a writers pet who was irrelevant but took importance over Bonnie. She did just fine.

Definitely one of the biggest issues with the series. Everyone else had to suffer the consequences for their actions, but Elena never had to. Not in the same way and certainly not permanently. She got Damon back. She got to be human again. She got Jeremy back. Etc. But Bonnie lost her love and grandmother. Caroline never got to read the letter her mother wrote, even though Bonnie should be able to do a spell to put it back together. I mean, she can stop the fires of Hell, but not restore a burnt piece of paper? Lolz. But I guess it's also why Caroline and Bonnie are a couple of my favorite characters.

She lost her parents, then she discovered that she was adopted and lost her bio parents too, PLUS remember that her father died for her and her mother died in front of her. She lost her brother, she saw how Klaus killed her aunt. Her best friend and boyfriend died too, AT THE SAME TIME. Plus, she saw every single person that she cared about died or almost died in front of her. Stop saying that she is weak and stupid because she is amazing.

Hannah Playz yeah. When I think about it, Matt went through a lot of pain alone. Caroline and Bonnie went through so much, but they had someone to lean on. Matt lost his sister and that was covered up for the longest,. When he lost Jeremy, he cried alone in his car. When Tyler died, no one really seemed to comfort him. I feel bad for Matt, man. I wish his character had more closure

Seeing Caroline go through her experience with the humanity switch was such an interesting time for me. I honestly think it was the most "real" portrayal of that emotional void. Unlike Damon, Stefan and Elena, who all just seemed to do whatever the hell they wanted, Caroline was all logic and reason without her emotions. For me, it seemed like Caroline's emotions were what drove her to be so impulsive, whereas she was much more controlled without them until someone provoked her. It really opened up a more in-depth understanding for me of who Caroline was as an individual.

Liz's death was the saddest for me on the show, i even cried. Her death was so human, sourrounded by all the supernaturals deaths, and all that characters coming back from death over and over, but liz's was final and she actually rested in peace. It was such an emotional moment.

I think it's amazing that in this scene, not only can you see and hear Caroline's heartbreak. But, you can also see Stefan's just by looking at his face. He is heartbroken for her. Fantastic acting on both their parts. This scene broke my heart. Liz Forbes' death was 100% one of the most heartbreaking on the show. Always breaks my heart.

I can' t handle all of this, it is so painfull, Stefan and Liz, liz and Caroline and Stefan doing everything to bring her back. Hate and love this

As someone who lost their mom suddenly very recently, this hits home in another way. Don't know how many times I've cried and just wished to have my mama back. I rarely called her mommy in the years leading up, but instead mama, but even now I sometimes break down and cry out for my mommy. Just hits all sort of different.

Paul and Candice’s acting in this scene is really amazing, especially candice’s when she says “ mommy” 😭

Isabelle Blake if the letter would’ve been burnt by a witch, with magic , then I believe it would be indeed possible to return the letter. Unfortunately, it was just burnt by Stefan in regular fire.

Then it would undo the purpose. She turned off her humanity and didn't care. This was the result of those consequences. You can't undo actions caused by something you do. You don't learn anything.

Honestly Candice is an amazing actress. She really showed Caroline's progress from being an insecure, naive girl to a mature, strong woman in the best way possible.

Remember the washroom scene in s2, where stefan wiped blood off Caroline's lips. I really wish that parallel was added here. Its thr same situation- Stefan consoling a control freak caroline who is insecure about her humanity and self-CONTROL.

​@@subashchandralenka9865 omgg yess I remember that it would reflect so many emotions but also similarities. To begin with I despised Caroline's character but as the show developed so did she with Stefan's nurturing skills they're a good duo

true losing your mother or even your father is the most painful thing that can ever happend to you I feel so bad for caroline liz forbes was the braves,sweetest most caring character ever and her death made me cry sooo much feeling the same way as caroline.

I love my mom so much yall. This scene really breaks my heart every times

When Elena shuts her humanity off Everyone: omg she couldn't handle the pain, such a crybaby When Caroline does Again everyone: my baby, she is so strong
