I think Katherine without humanity maybe was Katherine when arrive to mistic falls the first time before knowing Damon and Stefan , because she was really bad there, cold hearted and reckless (the reckless is the clue, she is smart after all) and she maybe turned on the switch while been with the Salvatores (that is the reason I explain why she was take it back a little by the Stefan feelings and become attached to him, ignoring a little the doppelganger thing or well she develop feelings and the switch turn on )

it’s 100 percent true because of all the horrible things klaus did he still had emotions and fell in love and showed guilt from time to time. . Humanityless vampires are completely and uterly emotionless. They literly can’t feel anything no guilt remorse. Nothing. which makes them worse. If klaus had no humanity when he saw Caroline first time he wouldn’t of fell in love with her. Klaus was evil but humanity less vampires are always worse. Just because of actions doesn’t make them worse. If Elena didn’t have anybody watching her she would definitely of killed Caroline, and a bunch of others.

That's the point. Elena without humanity is Katherine, meaning Kathrine has very little humanity. That's supposed to be the point, the big difference between them. Katherine is cold and mostly heartless on her own, but Elena can't be unless she turns off her humanity.

Sorry people Elena could never be Katherine. Katherine never turned it off. She got cold and hardened over time out of necessity and did it all alone. Elena on the other hand always had a support system and people protecting her. Elena did it out if weakness. Whatever Katherine did was for survival.

if you even watched the show without spending most of it bashing on elena for being “weak” you would realise that: 1. elena didn’t turn her humanity off of her own free will; she did it because damon told her to and she was still sired to him; unable to not obey. 2. there’s little chance that she would’ve turned her emotions off of her own free will. her emotions are what make her strong, just as katherine’s lack of them makes her strong. 3. feeling emotions so strongly and openly expressing them doesn’t make someone weak. the fact that you’re all enforcing that is the reason why i hope none of you have children. they don’t deserve to grow up in a household where openly expressing their emotions, regardless of what those emotions are, makes them weak. 4. elena turning her humanity off doesn’t make her better or worse than katherine. it just shows that in order for her to be a cold hearted and emotionless person, she has to turn her emotions of altogether. that literally just means that she stayed a kind person who feels so much and didn’t let her trauma turn her cold and hurtful. 5. katherine never turning her humanity off and instead building up barriers around her heart doesn’t make her better or worse than elena. she responded to her own trauma in the way that was best for her. they’ve both been through a lot of trauma and they’ve both been forced one way or another to deal with that trauma in different ways. 6. both of those are okay. elena is no less strong for keeping her emotions on and for openly expressing them and katherine is no less strong for keeping her emotions on and for shoving them down into a box so she doesn’t get hurt. 7. this shouldn’t be about who has had a worse life or who has more trauma. just because someone has gone through worse shit than you doesn’t make your own trauma insignificant and any less important or traumatic. the fact that you’re all enforcing that stigma is disgusting.

Finally.. someone said this. I was truly soo frustrated with tvd fan's thatt they're bashing Elena for no such or true reasons. They called her weak just bcoz she cries but for me she's in of the strongest character in tvd bcoz everyone hide their emotions by poker face but Elena never does. The funny thing is even when Elena had no humanity, you could still tell it was Elena. And even when Katherine was upset and crying about how her baby got ripped from her arms you could still tell she was Katherine. Both characters even cried different

I honestly don’t know why people hate on Elena so much she didn’t want to turn off her humanity Damon told her to and she was sired to him.And I already know Katherine never turned it off but like I don’t remember Katherine being sired to anyone.And I can understand why Elena didn’t want to turn it back on she lost her whole family and she is not as old or as strong as Katherine she was still a teenage girl it must have been really hard for her.The same thing happened with Katherine but Katherine was a completely different person then Elena she would do anything to make sure she would stay alive,Elena would do anything to make sure none of her loved ones got hurt.

Honestly Elena with her humanity off was the best.

Paul & Nina are amazing actors. Paul did: Silas, Stephan, Tom Avery, w/o humanity. Nina did: Katherine, Elena, Amara, w/o humanity.

IKR I was like what the hell. I needed to look back to make sure I was seeing right. I wonder if that was Dana’s mom.

After Elena turned off her humanity it was terrible. People judged her for doing it. Like, first off it was the sire bond through Damon that she did it, the sire bond was the reason she turned off her her humanity. She wasn't weak, or stupid. She was vulnerable; heartbroken, lost all of her family members and a sire bond made her turn it off.

I guess I’m the only one who doesnt like her without her humanity

I actually thought the No-Humanity-Elena segments were super good, I mean, by this point, the writing plummeted but this was refreshing and it threw a wrench into the story.

I really love the scenes with her, Rebekah and Katherine

I’m rewatching TVD right now for the third time, and I’m exactly at this part of the show. No humanity Elena. But is it just me, or do people just find Elena hella annoying. She makes Katherine so much more likable. 🤷‍♀️

I've observed both carefully, and even without humanity Katherine and Elena are nothing alike. From the mannerisms, speech, gestures, style are all different. That's great acting and attention to detail, cause Katherine isn't just "evil Elena" she's a unique individual. Even as an innocent human she wasn't like Elena
