I know what you’re doing after that run… tearing her down to get the module out to get all the sand and junk out of that center differential space… oh Arrma, when are you going to listen?? Great video bro… and you clear the valley of doom with a 4s!!! Cool👍🏻… I still think the shocks need a proper tuning😳…thanks for the great content brother…

Thank you very much yup I need to open the case up I did bring up the issue to the folks at Arrma at Arrmageddon told them I love the rc but dread using it because of the maintenance involved

The 4s Kraton is the most used RC truck around this area. I can say from bashing with some of my fellow RC nuts this RC can fly very well and is very tough. However I feel like you any car I have to tear down every run is too much time for a few battery's of fun. Great Video. L2theW RC motor sports@Death Valley

It is a good rc its very very fast and capable yes its a real pain to have to clean it I just cant stand thinking about the sand in the teeth of the gears

I covered mines up with tap and installed the M2C brace

I did the tape too a while back I still got sand in there at the same rate like I didnt have it then I tried a chassis cover that seemed to make it even worse with how much stuff got it there lol I am about tempted to put the tape back that silicone the gear box in place lol

Get some newest version kraton 6s exb shocks and put those springs on them. Then get yourself a M2C chassis brace.

Sounds the like the bearings around the center diff. I go thru those after about 5-6 packs

That reminds me I need to open this rc up and look. I put better bearings in they have been doing good not letting the dirt in I need to tear into it

Try putting something like the soft velcro strap, around the spur gear

I feel like the 4s Kraton competes with the 6s one in speed and power! For its smaller size (not by much) and lighter frame it gets up with the big boys!

It is surprisingly fast and powerful I do feel the 6s has better air control for the bigger jumps but for the money it feels like a 6s this rc moves I cant believe it made the jump I doubt any other 4s will come close to making it

The only tuning that thing needs is shocks brother. You know I do shocks on everything… so I am biased a bit… it’s just that hardly any vehicle has the shocks tuned from the factory. Just my opinion. I’m only halfway through the video…

I am not a fan of these shocks at all I hate plastic clips why not thread it like the Team Corally Syncro4? Its one reason I did the 6s Typhon over the 4s was the better shocks I might need to thicken the back up some keep it from trying to launch the rear end so much

My center diff bearings are shot!! Which ones did you use to replace them? Other than the ones Horizon sent you. Thanks for the great video! P.S. I duct taped over the chassis holes and it keeps most of the dirt out. In mine at least. 😂

I did the tape too still got sand in the gear didn't seem to make a difference for me. Thank you for the support and these are the bearings I installed so far they have kept the dirt out amzn.to/4cfz4EQ

So I went to the track last week and afterwards opened the center diff housing! The amount of sand and dirt inside was unbelievable! I’m surprised the damn thing even moved! With the chassis holes covered up where does the dirt come from? The front where the center driveshaft plugs in? There’s also a tiny hole in the top of mine. I’m determined to find out!!

Its definitely a problem and nothing I have seen anyone else mention sadly. I have taped up the holes on the bottom and still had sand get in there I am seriously considering cutting open the top of the case so it will just sling it out I dont know but so far every run cas cost me a set if bearings on the center diff

@@L2theWcarscoffeelife yeah I just bought some Arrma bearings from Hobbytown for $8! I’ll probably get the same set you got from Amazon so I have plenty of spare bearings! I tried putting a washer at the end of the driveshaft right where it plugs in at the diff housing to cover up the front of it but it sounds horrible! It might also be coming from underneath where the diff is open and dirt gets in the bottom of the truck! If I figure something out I’ll let you know!

Please do because it is very frustrating. I got some Boca bearings coming they are just the basic sealed ones they have nice ceramic ones but are 30 or 40 a piece! I read an a forum they make great bearings the other ones I got let sand in as well its crazy

Bro I love my 8s Kraton exb ! As much as I miss my 6s exb the arrma 8s plat form including outcast 8s exb is a whole other level and best imo lol I had this one to at one point I think what happened my driving was t as good at that point makes wonder if they weren’t as bad as I thought they and my dumbass. Was just a bad driver at jumping lol

I have both 8S cars and they are a whole other level of rc this is a very capable rc its the only 4s I have that can even think of this jump lol they have added some strength to the chassis because people were breaking them so there are some improvements to it now

I had the 4s Kraton too but I think at that point I wasn’t very good at jumping and assumed it was trash lol well not trash but you know what I mean lol but yes as nice as it would be to have my 6s exb I live in a desert area and the 8s rigs are perfect for my terrain down side is scratching my chassis and I just bought them lol I’m having fun and they take a beating i babied the the Kraton the first day the first day I got the outcast I was like screw it lets goooooo ! It took it I love both bro would be nice to get the 4s back but I have my kagama rn to upgrade that one is a animal playing with 1/5 scale made Me better at handling the kagama at 6s

The Kagama is wild that is for sure. I just got the Asuga and I am loving that one too. Terrain will dictate what kind of rc you get there are definitely places a 8s is needed. Sometimes when we go camping I bring out the Xmaxx its a safe bet it can handle anything out there and its a bit lighter than the Arrma's lol

That is why I have so many lol they all drive different its fun to switch it up and in the end all that matters is people are out enjoying the hobby regardless of brand its all fun

Why did you switch out your ESC with the older version? The stock ESC is black with black wiring. Or is that a different size ESC? Just curious.

I lost the power button on the first run. This is what Arrma sent me for a warranty. I asked what was up with that. They said its the same exact esc its just a color difference so you can take the older orange ones update the software and you have all the settings as the so called new esc lol. When I called I was pissed it was missing the same settings as what came out I did the updates bam same settings as the black one that came out so they were right its just cosmetic

@@L2theWcarscoffeelife what happens if you don’t have the ability to update it? You would’ve had to buy an ESC program card right? That’s another $30! Sometimes I wonder about Horizon! Anyway glad it worked out for you!

They asked me to try if it didn't work out they would have sent the black one I think they got confused because basically the v2 started out with that esc. Yeah I wouldn't have a programmer if I didn't have so many cars it does come in handy but a regular update off a computer would be nice
