I’m with a company that is new to having a UX Team. Understanding and research is so integral to the process and so far I think we’re doing a good job of setting the stage for that. These videos are helpful and reassuring! Thank you!

Amazing
Thanks. I’m a long time graphic designer. Lately I’ve been taking on a bigger role in UX and UI. I’m always looking for ways to improve the design program of a site. This seems to be an ongoing hang up for me, but it’s getting better. In the beginning I was expecting too much from the client. In the last few projects, I’ve been spending more time in these early, structural steps rather than jumping into look and feel. I’m looking for content like this to improve these early steps.

Thank you so so much for the tips!!! I've been watching your portfolio videos and I have the same question. How can I change my portfolio for each job application? Let’s asume I have finished my portfolio and I start to apply as a candidate the companies… as I’ll apply simultaneously to two or more companies… How can I match my portfolio to different companies "requirements" at the same time. With the CV it’s easier because I can make different pdfs but the portfolio is a website… how could I manage it? Thank you very much for your help.

Please differentiate these two term framework and product development life cycle i got confused b/w them
How long does each stage of the UX Design process should take in average? And how long does UI design process take?
How is design thinking different from UX design process or will it be right to say that design thinking and UX design process is similar as they both work on the concept of designing a solution or product or service based on the identification of consumer needs or their pain points?
Do some companies with UX designers not invest in things like research? Like would companies actually have the patient for that? How long does the research process take place?
Question. So where does the 5s structure falls in it means im am bit confused now
I need the aspects scenarios of the iteration processes please

Great question Ahnjin, firstly we have expert mentors and tutors that are assigned to each student throughout their studies, as well as a really supportive career services team, who will provide you with tailored coaching to ensure you stand out at interviews, for a start! You can find out more on just what we offer with each of our courses here: careerfoundry.com/en/courses/become-a-ux-designer/ and if you have any questions you'd like more clarity on you can speak to one of our program advisors by booking a call here: careerfoundry.com/en/connect/all-contact-advisor/ Hope this helps!
Where do you find people to ask for your research and for testing your ideas? Even if you know who the users/customers will be, how do you make contact with them, and is the research you do one-on-one or in groups?
@careerfoundry

Hey Jodie! That's a great question, generally businesses / UX designers will reach out to their existing user base, though if it's a new product / service with no existing user base, you can create a basic ad on Facebook or other social platforms to entice potential users to try out a user test, ideally you'd have around 5 people to test with. You can also reach out to product forums which cover similarly spaced products to recruit people who may be interested, or already active in, a similar area to the new product / service that you're working on. There are various types of user testing, both quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative may include sending out a survey en-masse to a groups of people and analysing the date. Qualitative would involved walking individuals through a specific element of you product / service. We have a number of great articles on these topics here: careerfoundry.com/en/blog/ux-design/quantitative-vs-qualitative-ux-research/ careerfoundry.com/en/blog/ux-design/qualitative-ux-research/ careerfoundry.com/en/blog/ux-design/how-to-conduct-user-experience-research-like-a-professional/ We have a general article on user testing here that might help too: careerfoundry.com/en/blog/ux-design/user-testing-design-thinking/#4-how-to-conduct-user-testing-a-step-by-step-guide Hope this helps?
I have a question about "pain points", do we identify them on the stage "understanding" or "analysing"?
@rojdae9257
2 жыл бұрын
I think you probably have a "good guess" based off of your own perception in the understanding part, but then the analyzing is where you can actually find out based on the data (of research already done) what is an actual "pain point"?
Yes i have a question actually i learned about design process in which design process flow goes like this - Discover - Define - Ideate - Design - testing , now in this process first three i found same but my last two that is Design - testing are some what different from validate - iterations , so which flow is much better to follow as i am beginner and have lot of confusion with this differences in process , please make it clear so that i can follow that process.
@dorayoung5149
Жыл бұрын
Yes. Is still the same with urs. her explanation is the best and simple. I was taught understand, ideate, define, prototype and testing and from defining and prototype stages you v to start testing with users so you can iterate at anytime before you reach the final testing with real users
For new beginning how to learn it

The best example of why UX is not the solution to everything: Uber and such. So before these "smart" taxi apps, a person would call for a taxi and get one. That was it > call a number, speak the address and wait. Now? Open an app, write an address, wait to scan the area, multiple choices, choose a car based on ratings, select car, agree with said car, wait. See the problem? Technology is supposed to make things better and faster but instead we complicate things.
@Moudiremoo
Жыл бұрын
I don't agree. If you make survey,most will choose the second process rather than a call. If you asked why, then there are a lot of reasons (more precise, conviencience, fun to do, more secure, cost save, and alot of other reasons) also, i think some apps include both processes.
How much air in the head? Maybe reduce the PSI 🤣🤡
I had to say dislike on this video because this does not reflect how UX is actually done in companies
