What's cool about this album is it actually has more in common with "real screamo" and hardcore punk than it does with the mall/hot topic screamo people typically think of when they think of screamo

Bert honestly had one of the best screams in all of rock music... fucking incredible. Also I love that they're still cranking out bangers, Heartwork was also a great album.

One of the things i love about The Used is that every album sounds different and its just not them having album after album that all just sound the same.

Throwback to my grade school years, my uncle played these dudes a lot along with KoRn and Slipknot around 2005. I remember being on acid in 2018 when they played at Warped Tour, it was raining with the sun setting just hitting the stage lighting it up and this song came on.. the entire crowd lost it and I stood there taking it all in.. the nostalgia, the drugs, the weather, the crowd, it was the best day ever lol

I was too old at the time to be part of any "scene" but I absolutely fell in love their first three records, it was something else , still think the used are their own category of music.

my facorite band during my emo phase was OG escape the fate. But this song was what straight up converted me the energy is unmatched imo. and it s"what a beautiful THING" not life.

Seen him puke live in Gainesville at one of their shows. He's such a great stage presence.

Great reaction hoopsick the used have been my favourite band since the early 2000s & their self titled album was my discovery of the band back in the day. Their song the taste of ink was the band's biggest single back in 2002 check it out It's a banger. To this day the used is still one of my favorite bands. They have a huge catalogue and out of it I think only one bad album (canyon).

you gotta hear pretty handsome awkward. I would also recommend blood on my hands and the ripper, but PRETTY HANDSOME AWKWARD is necessary! The song is great, its actually about the bands beef with mcr's drug abuse at the time, and the video has some CRAZY filmmaking techniques and really compliments the central plot of the song.

Should dive into glassjaw some time. Fantastic band. You can't call them "emo". But they are melodic, aggressive, punky, angular and beautiful all under one roof. Start with tip your bartender.
