The zapinator wasn't removed for copyright reasons, it actually was removed in favor of having two separate zapinators, a gray one and and orange one, for different stages of progression. They both function the same, and are very cool and unique weapons, and the original I believe is still on the 3DS version of Terraria

As much as I adore your videos, I can't help but think you should show more stuff instead of just talking about it. Like for example, you said there was an unused lever underneath that area in Bloodborne, and talked about the punk clique in Bully appearing in the comic strip, but didn't actually show these things. It would add a lot to show images of these types of stuff. I understand how much work goes into editing a video this long, but I think it would really improve your work 😁

Something you should know about Scarecrow from Manhunt...it says that Scarecrow's real name is "Kenneth Jesperson" and he was "formerly the head hunter amongst the Smileys". Well there was a real life serial killer named Keith Jesperson (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Hunter_Jesperson) and he was known as the "Happy Face Killer". Maybe that was a bit too close for comfort?

this isn’t on the actual iceberg but i wanna share something that me and a couple of other people found about a month ago Blur (2010) - Removed Story Mode Blur was a racing game released in 2010, developed by Bizarre Creations and published by Activision. The game is an arcade street racing game with the inclusion of power-ups, similar to Mario Kart. Although review scores were high, the game sold poorly, leading to the development team being disbanded and a sequel to the game canceled. In early footage of the game and in interviews, other characters you would race against would interact with the player, commenting on the player’s actions. According to some developer interviews, these characters were meant to appear in a story mode for the game, which would have followed the player’s adventures into the underground street racing scene. However, when the game was released, all of this was suddenly removed. A PS3 build of the game meant for debugging was acquired by fans, who proceeded to look into this build’s files. It was a mostly innocuous debug build for testing, but in a folder called “attachments”, a slew of these never before seen cutscenes intended for the cut story mode were found, with their audio fully intact. As well, the lines your opponents would say in races were also found. Interestingly, a text file for early credits found in the build’s files listed all of the actors who played the roles, including the likes of Nolan North, Yuri Lowenthal and Robin Atkin Downes. According to former developers, this story mode was cut very late as Activision wanted to place more focus and work on the game’s online multiplayer. - The reason the freeze hazard was removed from LittleBigPlanet was because the only way for the player to break free was to rapidly shake the PS3 controller, which was considered by Media Molecule to be inconvenient to the player if they were frozen multiple times, and the freeze effect caused issues with the build's framerate, and they would've worsened in online maps.

I, for one, would be totally into watching a video centered around the Manhunt games. There's so much to explore not only in the games themselves, especially Manhunt 2, but also the public reaction to the games.

I’m liking this iceberg so far! I enjoy your voice and commentary. Only criticism is that I wish you would show a bit of said lost content more, like some of the audio files for some of the assets, or some more clips/screenshots for them, but anyways, keep up the good work!

hey i really appreciate what you're trying to do here, but i think this is a downgrade from the previous video- it's clear that you didn't do enough research for certain topics, and it really starts to show during some sections. like, the soul scythe wasn't removed because it's a reference to soul eater, and the zapinator wasn't removed "for obvious reasons." i know you might not be familiar with these games you're discussing but it'd be nicer if you took more time to get your facts straight. the biggest mistake was easily the capsule monsters section- yes there's a yu-gi-oh game named capsule monsters, but i would have made it *very* clear if it was yu-gi-oh related- granted i didn't specify it was a pokemon concept, but what you did felt like a stretch to me. the editing has also become more lackluster, as the video don't showcase a lot of what should be shown (like showing fanart of rosalina instead of the actual concept art, or not showing smb1's concept art of yoshi). i don't want to come off as super negative towards someone making a video about my iceberg- i appreciate that you're doing it at all- but i have to say im disappointed with what you're doing right now, and i hope the next part picks up the slack that i felt this video had. thank you and i hope you have a nice day.

I feel like your videos would be a lot better if you took the effort to actually show everything you're talking about. When you're talking about unused animations, play them on screen. When you're talking about concept art for 3 characters, show all 3 instead of just one. When what you're talking about is a scene that has actual footage, play it, instead of just showing a screenshot. As they are, your videos just feel like lazily put together "tell, don't show" slideshows, which is a shame since your research skills and narration style are very good.

Do you edit your own videos, or do you have someone else edit them for you? I noticed this for Part 1 as well, but often you’ll have things in your script that imply something should be onscreen or in the video to accompany it that are just missing. Stuff like showing fan art of Odyssey Rosalina instead of the actual concept art, talking about the water monster sound files in RDR2 without playing the actual sound file, mentioning Edgeworth’s design being way more different than other early Ace Attorney designs but neglecting to even show it etc. That’s not to mention some things lacking in proper research; people have already pointed out that ‘Capsule Monsters’ was definitely in reference to Pokemon and not YGO. Maybe for future videos, try asking some people to proofread your scripts and/or proof-watch your videos?

Something to note: "Dragon King" is a mistranslation. The original Japanese title was Kakuto-Gemu *Ryuo*. The "Ryuo" was what was mistranslated to "Dragon King". However, Ryuo actually refers to a town in Japan. The very same town that's seen in the background of the scant few screenshots we have.

I like you narration alot man, but you really need to start showing onscreen the stuff you talk about. It gets frustating after a while. Also, like other people pointed out, there some topics that you need to do some more researching upon before adressing it (like how Capsule Monsters was actually the concept that became Pokémon). Other than that, your videos are pretty good.

Funny enough, they did use the "Sonic has a band" idea with one of the cartoons named Sonic Underground.

Thanks for doing the second part! Can't wait to dive into its contents.

I’m very sure “Capsule Monsters” refers to Pokémon in its earliest iteration.

I Hope the iceberg includes cut or unused content from the Oddworld series. Like the Meeches not being extinct and having their own level similar to the Paramites and Scrabs, the cut side plot in Munchs Oddysee where Molluck the Glukkon is put on trial by the Glukkon Queen Lady Margaret, Munch’s hulk-like Roid alter ego, even entire games or game concepts like Hand of Odd, Slave Circus and Squeeks Oddysee.

As a Japanese speaker, I do believe the information you got on Terios the Hedgehog is wrong. The claim that he was based on concept art seems to be from the Sonic Fandom wiki, and only cites back to concept art and claims by the concept designer that have nothing to do with the Terios character. The only information I can find in Japanese on his creation is from a KZread stream done this year by Kazuyuki Hoshino in which he says that the character was based on the Oni design of Kabuki makeup: a traditional style of Japanese dance where people dressed up with extravagant makeup and costumes and dance to reenact stories from Shinto legend. This style of makeup also inspired the Fierce Deity mask in Majora's Mask, and that "fierce deity" term I think adequately describes the oni for western audiences. It's a kind demon, or a fierce deity that lived on mountaintops in Shinto fable. Kind-hearted, but intimidating. I'll reply to this comment with a link to the video as YT tends to eat my comments otherwise Further, Terios is not a word in Japanese. It doesn't even follow the Japanese pronounciation scheme. There are very few ending vowels, whereas all words in Japanese are comprised of subunits ending in vowels.

For non-Japanese speakers, switch on subtitles and look for "歌舞伎メイク", this is the only reference to Shadow's character creation I could find that is reliable. Most information on Shadow on the Japanese internet is just straightup rule 34 and I don't wanna go back there anymore for obvious reasons, yuck

@@jlonmims3232 sadly there isn't, the final roster was decided after Benoit died, and THQ immediately removed him without even consulting WWE. rumor has it he was going to have red tights. The crossface can be hacked in with a GameShark and his diving headbutt logo is still used for the high flyer logo. His character slot is still in if you hack it you'll find an unusable character slot with his overall and stats.

Great video, even if there are many errors haha (but thats gonna happen when you talk about this much stuff). For instance, Half Life: Decay wasn't exactly an expansion pack. It was meant to be, but it was included as an extra on the PS2 port but never released officially on PC as an expansion pack due to conflicts between Gearbox, Sierra and VALVE (lots of drama between those 3 at the time due to VALVE trying to buy back the Half Life IP).

Imagine a final mission, a version of mg 1 in 3D, you playing as venom, seeing your men slowly die by the hand of one man, solid. You finally face the man, kinda like ocelot vs snake, with only your hands, with the playable character actually changing from venom to solid as they clash, with solid ultimately winning. Then, as venom slowly dies in outer heaven, he thinks of his old face, laughing as it self destructs.
