Other than the sample of his that was used in a Snoop Dogg/Dr. Dre song, that's all I know but I'm looking forward to hear the backstory😊. Didn't know that he had some mid charter pop hits in the 60s. I'll have to check out the songs so i can add them to their respective playlists. Hi,this production was very good,l didn’t know much about Leon,If you were to ask anyone over here in the UK from my generation(lm in my 60s) about this singer the one tune that will spring to mind is "Baby Reconsider. It was legendary over here late 1960s early 70s due to a DJ called Carl Dean at Chateau Impney,it was played at the Twisted Wheel also,it was revered as a dance record and a very rare soul record( Fat Fish records) and became very popular for years to come…l still listen to it myself,l love it I wonder if Leon was aware how sought after this was back in the day Perhaps check out the comments on You Tube for Baby Reconsider Best Wishes and Thank you for your work Ps. Any chance of the JJ Barnes story?

My favorite Leon Haywood sings are Don't Push It, Don't Force It & I Wanna Do Something Freaky To You. My favorite song he produced is She's A Bad Mamma Jamma. My mother used to play out all the time when I was young, I always think of her whenever I hear it. It's also my theme song whenever I'm feeling myself. That's the song I hear when I think I'm The Ish, 😂, but I have 3 in total. This one I just named, Cold Blooded by Rick James & Candy by Cameo. There's a funny story to Candy though. I was hanging out in Harlem with some male friends (they were a singing group, & I was trying to get into the business at the time) when we passed by a group of young guys going into a Bodega & when we came out, all the young men, about 5 of them, started singing Candy to me. 😂 I thought it was the cutest thing.
