I wonder why someone devided to change the guitar solo into a slide guitar solo ?? The first guitar solo I heard was brilliant, slightly toned down ( like most pop guitar solos ), but with great feeling, and Dave Haywood picked just the right notes, it just fit Need you now perfectly, much more melodic than a slide guitar solo, so I`m guessing the solo was changed, to attract some Country fans too maybe............it`s still a great popsong though......❤

They went to number one with Need you Now in the commercial charts.

Lady antebellum rocks with out a doubt

We met them in 2009, at their Fan Club Party in Nashville. Charles and Dave hark from Evans, GA, where we live. They graduated from Lakeside High School, where my wife taught for a brief period of time. I was in one of Dave's Dad's clinical trials, though I did not know the connection at the time. My wife had a great conversation with Linda Davis after the party was over. We are always in the audience, when they come back to town for a visit. Hillary was given a ring (?) from Windsor Jewelers during the dedication of the Lady Antebellum Amphitheater, that is located in Evans Town Center Park, in Evans, GA. It contains the Josh Kelly Stage.

😂😂😂 Country act Lady Antebellum became Lady A, with the members writing on Instagram that they were “regretful and embarrassed to say that we did not take into account the associations that weigh down this word [Antebellum] referring to the period of history before The Civil War, which includes slavery.” But recently they filed a lawsuit against a performer that has used 'Lady A' for 20 years claiming that infringes on their trademark - one they just started using. Oh, and ironically...the Lady A they've sued is black 😂😂😂😂. So how concerned with social justice are they really?

it would be nice if people would just own stuff. like "man we just liked the houses". so tired of the woke stuff n i think a lot of black folks are too, more even. hopefully now that the media/gov has found a new way to divide people through the jab they can quit talking about stupid race stuff that doesnt matter anyway. there are all sorts of things they could be doing to make things better for people n to create true equality n inclusion- but no, they keep these policies going like hell on Earth Chicago- n then blame the actual guns n white people... n groups with names like Antebellum. how about giving those people selling all the drugs n killing all the kids something else to do in life besides sell drugs n kill kids... n stop running an entertainment empire glorifying such activity. make Johnny Murder or Danny Slang Rocks change their stupid names, that might actually help. woke is fake help, the illusion of giving a shit often referred to as pandering.

Lady Antebellum was the reason why I started liking country music, but when I found out what “antebellum” meant I could no longer respect them or their music. They should not be able to get away with that name!!! It’s sad that it took until June 2020 for them to realize how terrible that name is, and they have changed it!

HEIDI FISHER It only takes about 5 seconds to do a quick Google search, but since you are so busy, I’ll help you out. “Antebellum” is the period in history that refers to the years before the civil war. This is the time period where Africans were still enslaved and having many criminal acts done to them so when I found out that this band is all right with having a name that symbolizes that I could no longer respect them or their music!

HEIDI FISHER You’re not bothering me. They say they chose the name because of a photo shoot they had at a “southern mansion,” which really was a plantation home. This to me is a lame reason to name a group “antebellum.” The word “antebellum” symbolizes a lot of pain, and I just think they should of given more thought into their band name unless they really don’t care about certain groups of people.

Jaime Peoples I agree. didn't know all that. they're not really my fav, but as most bands, country or rock some songs are good, some suck. same with these guys. a couple goid songs doesn't make me wanna spend money on a CD or add to my playlists. This band had a racist name for years and now they are woke? I'm not buying it. Any group that picks a name with the "A" word in it, must have underlying systemic racist problems. There are three members to this band, but no person of color? Such exclusivity and intolerance is unacceptable. Changing your bands name is not nearly enough. Plus you retained the letter "A?" We all know it means that word. Get rid of that A please! It is a racist letter!

Yeah at first I thought it was good they were taking steps to stand up against racial injustice and inequality but why abbreviate? That’s what I didn’t get I guess it’s them making baby steps but it’s better than doing nothing at all.
