Troy Taylor is an author who has a great book on the Lemp history. Sometimes he does “An Evening With The Lemps” there (or at least he did). There’s an entire season in them on the “American Hauntings” podcast if you want a really really deep dive into the history. I used to live in STL and my BFF was just a couple blocks from the brewery so I’m a little obsessed with the history lol

@@MysteryArchivesI agree with this comment this was a great retelling. Can you please tell me where you found information on the parties in the caves? I can’t find anything and I have a VERY high suspicion about the true happenings down there. Pistols and prostitutes gives very dark vibes to me. The men in the family clearly were known to be angry and violent abrupt in their actions. Cold. For a reason. What truly haunted them? In the maps of the caves I saw that one of the caves was originally called the “beautiful gardens” then was changed to “Indian passage” so I am very very interested in the original purpose of the caves. I am going to go deeper into this. They had to have been doing some wicked disrespectful to the original spirits of the caves in the caves. 👀👀👀 the black dahlia? The bones of ancient animals? Yeah OKAY

@@jeran5117 Where my Mum, grew up, during the thirties, there was a cave baf. It is called Banger Cave. Bangor Cave consists of seven chambers and is about 1,151 feet deep at its farthest point. The cave has three entrances, at least one of which was created artificially when the cave was used as a nightclub. I live less than 15 minutes away. It has a very interesting history.

There may have been an unknown physical family chemical imbalance that ran through the Lemps and family dynamics that we can't understand today. Perhaps there were secrets that we will never know. The only thing certain is that their story is a tragic one. I find it interesting that the one member that is the most tragic of all is the Lavender Lady, yet from lack of haunting tales, she seems to be the one person at peace.

Lemp Mansion is such a great place to visit. We’ve visited multiple times to eat there and finally spent the night a couple of years ago. By chance, we met a group of not-amateur paranormal investigators and got to hang out with them all night. The next year we went back and met them there again for another investigation. It was soooo cool. Nothing scary but definitely active.

I’ve been there many times- on one tour with my husband, he jokingly pulled my hair at the beginning. Later, on in the tour upstairs, it was near the nursery area, I felt my hair getting tugged again, and I went to smack my husband on the shoulder as a joke, but nobody was there. if you come to St. Louis, I highly recommend the tour, and also dining at the mansion. I think there are also still cemetery tours at the Bellfountain cemetery. It should be a national landmark for all of the amazing tombs. I absolutely loved your video, thank you so much.

What a story of a family’s rise and fall, shows that money can’t buy everything like sanity or help to the members of the Lemp family to stop their decent into depravity

Yes, the story of the Lemp empire is a sad story, yet very creepy. I live here in St, Louis Mo, and have also studied this place for a long time. Mr. Lemp Sr ending was in his bedrm , William [billy] was in his office to the left side of the doorway into the mansion. And the doberman was actually ended before Charles ended himself. They say that you can hear the dog in the basement, i'm going to stay there soon overnight.i am going to sleep in either 'billy's room or Lemp Sr's,.

I think the family got magnanimous madness. They wanted to show the world how rich they were, and it seems to be their destiny. (Sorry for my bad english, it's not my primary language) Thank you for the great way you tell us about this almost forgotten documentaries ☺️❤️

Stayed there in the Lavender room one night. I was the ONLY visitor in the hotel. There was one security guard until about 11pm but then they left. I had pretty much free reign of the place. And it WAS creepy. And there WAS some weird sounds and visuals. Loved every second of it lol😅
